CharactersThe following characters appeared in the episode "Asteroid Accident":
SynopsisThe episode begins with the PJ Masks returning home from another space mission. During the ride, they come into a side collision with an asteroid, sending it towards Earth. Owlette is shocked about causing this, but follows it as quickly as possible while also seeing an unfamiliar person through the radar. It lands in the park where Romeo is having tea with his stuffed teddy bear. He has Robot load it on his lab, but it shocks him. The two are forced to retreat when the team arrives. The next day, the class is taking a field trip to see the asteroid as an opportunity to use for their space project. Connor and Greg try to cheer up Amaya, who is still upset about sending it towards the town. As the class leaves after seeing electrical sparks shooting out of it, she spots a boy taking notes. In the library, while trying to research asteroids and her friends figure out a plan to return the asteroid to outer space, she sees him again with all the space books and a glowing rock. He disappears after they catch up with her and focus her attention on the mission. That night, PJ Robot has a plan to return the asteroid: the team can use HQ’s landing claws to carry it into space. Owlette is still confused because not only did it spin in front of her, it glows and has powers unlike the other asteroids. Just then, they see Romeo returning to the park on the PJ Picture Player. They arrive at their location; Owlette is about to keep an eye on the villains while PJ Robot gets ready when she sees the museum’s doors open. Owlette enters the building to see the space books now all gone. The boy from earlier is also here, but he quickly takes off. She tells Catboy, who runs in to check on her, that she saw him, thinking that he might have something to do with the asteroid, then preoccupies herself with last night’s incident again. Catboy comforts her by telling her not to keep worrying about it because it was an accident, and everyone makes mistakes. What’s important is that they fix it. Catboy and Owlette board the HQ Rocket, then pick up Gekko, who is fighting Robot. The team grabs the asteroid and flies into space where she sees the boy flashing by. This distracts her from seeing the Flying Factory chasing them. It zaps them multiple times, jamming the claws and sending them far out of space. They try to release the asteroid themselves, but another zap causes them to be tied to it after it is released. Owlette apologizes for getting themselves into trouble due to her constant preoccupation on what happened last night and the boy she saw throughout the day. The mysterious boy suddenly flies in and frees the team. He introduces himself as Newton by day and Newton Star by night, a daytime kid scientist with nighttime powers who explores the secrets of the universe by himself, including asteroids. He reveals himself to be the person that Owlette saw in the park, in the library, and in space. He also reveals that he was investigating the asteroid last night when he accidentally knocked it towards Earth, hitting the HQ Rocket in the process. He took off afterwards, afraid that they would be mad at him. Catboy and Gekko apologize for not believing Owlette about seeing him. As the Flying Factory continues firing lasers at the group, Newton manages to gain control of the asteroid as one of his powers. Under Owlette’s direction, he surfs it towards the building and hits its mounted ray so it faces it. The ray zaps the Flying Factory back to Earth. Newton sends the asteroid away into space and returns the team back to headquarters. They’re about to introduce PJ Robot, who comes out, concerned about them, to him, but he disappears. Nevertheless, they know they’ll see him again soon by the library. Moral/Lesson
