Bastet (full name: Bastet, the Cat of the Sun) is the supporting character and protagonist of Les Pyjamasques picture book series. She is an Egyptian goddess that is the guardian of the Solar Disc, and the daughter of Ra and Isis. Physical appearanceBastet wears a yellow suit with spots, consisting of a mask resembling a lioness' head. Her suit has a white cape on the back, resembling wings. PersonalityBastet is helpful towards the Pyjamasques when they are in trouble, and shows great determination on not giving up in a fight (especially against Apophis). However, at times, she can be very strict and protective in dangerous situations and initially reluctant to accepti help from the Pyjamasques in getting rid of Apophis from swallowing the solar disc. Despite this, after the group helped her, she learned that without their help, the solar disc would have been destroyed by Apophis. Abilities
