Bastet the Sun Cat, or simply Bastet, is one of the supporting characters of the PJ Masks series, making her first appearance in the episode of Season 6, or PJ Masks: Power Heroes: "It's a Cat Thing." She makes up one-tenth of the Power Heroes. She is a sun cat who eventually joins the Power Heroes in the aforementioned episode and is a counterpart of a character with the same name in an alternate universe. HistoryIn "It's a Cat Thing," Bastet claims she was magically created specifically to fight evil pharaohs like Pharaoh Boy. It is unknown exactly how or when she was created, but since an old stone tablet in the museum depicts her fighting Pharaoh Boy, she is presumably at least several thousands of years old, despite being a young kid, and was possibly created by some great Egyptian gods. In "The Dance of Two Cats" she recalled how she learned to play the saxophone as a kitten. Physical appearanceBastet has dark skin and red eyes. Her overall appearance is nearly identical to that of her book counterpart, with the only differences being her lacking her original's signature cape, and the gems on her collar and gauntlets are purple instead of blue. Her costume contains black stripe/spot patterns with black paw pads on the soles of her feet. Her outfit resembles that of a serval, a small species of wild cat that is native to Africa, and has been associated with ancient Egyptian culture. PersonalityBastet is helpful towards the Power Heroes when they are in trouble, and shows great determination on not giving up in a fight (especially against Pharaoh Boy). Like Catboy, she would sometimes act like an actual cat; such traits for instance include: walking on all fours and making hisses and 'meows'. Motive & AbilitiesMotiveAs an ancient Egyptian deity, Bastet is destined to use her cat powers and Sun Disc to defeat evil pharaohs such as Pharaoh Boy.
