Bastet

Trivia

  • Refer to Comparison:Bastet (Book Continuity) Vs. Bastet (Cartoon Continuity) for a list of similarities and differences between her and her book counterpart.
  • Bastet is the fifth character in the series to have shielding abilities after Newton Star, Gekko, Owlette and Armadylan.
  • She is the third female hero in the series.
  • She is the second hero to be of African descent.
    • The first hero is Newton Star.
  • Bastet might be connected to the cat deity known by the same name. In ancient Egyptian religion, Bastet is the Goddess of Protection, Pleasure and Good Health to Ancient Egypt.
  • Her catchphrases are "Growling Pyramids!", "By the Mummies of Meow!", "By the Claws of Cleopatra!," and "By the Pyramids of Meow!"
  • It is unknown why she didn't show up sooner despite the fact that Pharaoh Boy, the villain she was meant to stop, has been causing trouble since his debut in Season 4.
  • In her debut episode, Catboy and An Yu assumed that she was a nighttime villain; this is similar to how the PJ Masks assumed Octobella was a hero in her debut episode.
  • In "Heroes of Iceworld," Bastet met Romeo indirectly, due to the fact she was in the Power Q at that time.
  • Cats in ancient Egypt were highly revered, partly due to their ability to combat vermin such as mice, rats (which threatened key food supplies), and snakes—especially cobras. Additionally, cats of royalty were, in some instances, known to be dressed in golden jewelry similar to the kind that Bastet wears in the show.
  • She is also the seventh character to have a protective shield power.
    • The first was Gekko (with his Super Gekko Shields).
    • The second was Tatouro (with an armadillo cape).
    • The third was Armadylan (with armadillo armor).
    • The fourth was Owlette (with Super Feather Shields).
    • The fifth was Bastet's book counterpart (with Lapis Lazuli).
    • The sixth was Newton Star (with Star Shields).
  • As revealed in "Luna the Sun Girl," she finds the villains to be harmless.
  • Early concept art depicted Bastet with a tail and the gems on her suit being blue like her book counterpart.
