CharactersThe following characters appeared in the episode "Catboy and the Sticky Splat Slingshot":
SynopsisThe episode starts off with Connor, Amaya, and Greg looking at a few posters apparently advertising a new martial arts movie. They quickly make out the figure on there to be Night Ninja, who is planning to unleash his biggest bad move yet with the amount of Sticky Splat he has. Connor believes he can counterattack by performing a superhero move big enough to place on the record books, even though the most important thing is completing the mission. The PJ Masks follow the trail of posters that night until they reach the ninjas putting up more posters. Night Ninja explains what his baddest move will be: he has created three huge Sticky Splats using a new formula that makes them bouncier to cover up different parts of the town: the school, museum, and the park. He believes it will be so bad that it will take forever to clean up, and people will be talking about it for a long time. The Ninjalinos think otherwise. Night Ninja hits the Sticky Splats toward the three locations. Owlette and Gekko chase them, but Catboy gets a better idea: he hits the huge projectiles toward each other to form a Sticky Splat Boulder; that way, it would be a perfect opportunity for him to do his best save move ever by stopping it. However, it is too large for him to stop, so he moves out of the way, and the boulder bounces over to the Cat-Car and splatters everywhere. The Ninjalinos judge Night Ninja’s plan as an “epic fail” and claim that they have a better idea. He refuses to listen, as he wants to do the super bad move his way, even though the first plan didn’t work. The ninjas take off to plan the next move. Catboy is upset that his super save didn’t work, but is determined to seize his chance to do the best hero moves ever. The team goes after the ninjas, but after they leave the scene, the villains come back to clean up the Sticky Splats. A few moments later, Owlette is able to spot the ninjas heading towards the end of the alleyway. Once the team arrives, though, they disappear; they instead find a Sticky Splat Web and realize too late that they’ve fallen into a trap when two more Sticky Splat Webs trap them in. Gekko is about to use his Super Gekko Muscles to help them escape, but Catboy decides to use his Super Cat Speed instead as another attempt to do his super save move. When he tries to break through, he is flung back, crashing into his teammates in the process, and they all get stuck on the webs. The ninjas come out; Night Ninja believes this plan to be the biggest and baddest ever, but the Ninjalinos disagree. They leave so he can think of something even better. With his Super Gekko Muscles, Gekko removes himself, Owlette, and Catboy, then breaks open the Sticky Splat Web. Since Night Ninja is still planning, Catboy is still determined to do the biggest save ever. The team runs off, not noticing a couple of Ninjalinos coming back to retrieve the Sticky Splat Webs. One transition later, the team catches the ninjas at the top of the buildings. They see that Night Ninja is struggling to come up with a better idea, still refusing to hear the Ninjalinos’ idea. This equates as a victory, although Catboy is upset that if Night Ninja can’t think of the best villain plan ever, he can’t do the best superhero move ever. However, once he insults him, Night Ninja finally allows his Ninjalinos to give him their idea. The team chases the villains as they jump off, Catboy ready to do his super save. Night Ninja leads the PJ Masks into another trap; the Ninjalinos trip them with a tightrope, causing them to fall into a Sticky Splat Slingshot, formed by the Sticky Splat Boulder and Sticky Splat Web from earlier. Taking all the credit as his best villain plan ever, he is going to slingshot the team into headquarters and stick them with more Sticky Splats so they’ll be trapped forever. Catboy realizes that this was all because of him and his obsession into doing the best superhero move. It will have to take teamwork for the team to stop the plan from happening. The ninjas release the Sticky Splat Boulder. While keeping his Lizard Grip, Gekko unsticks the team, who then stack on top of each other with Owlette on top. She swings the boulder away just in time before it hits HQ, and the group heads towards the ninjas, where Gekko releases his grip. The villains get stuck onto the boulder as it rolls and bounces off. Catboy commends his friends, and declares that stopping Night Ninja together was the best super save ever. The signature victory phrase is announced. The next day, Connor, Amaya, and Greg hang up a poster that they created in Connor’s room depicting Night Ninja’s defeat from last night. They high-five each other, only for their hands to get stuck together since Greg had a little glue on his hands. Nevertheless, Connor claims that good friends should stick together, and the three friends laugh as the episode ends. Moral/Lesson
