Synopsis
The episode opens on Mystery Mountain, where An Yu uses her flute and dances to control the various dragon statues in the pagoda. Munki-gu sees her and tries to dance along, but the dragons don't respond to his dance. An Yu explains that they only react to the Dragon Dance, and her performing it tonight is important for Mystery Mountain's future. Munki-gu wants to learn the dance, too, but An Yu refuses. She instead banishes him from the pagoda, then locks the doors and puts a force field around the pagoda since she's going to meet up with the PJ Masks. When she's gone, Night Ninja and a Ninjalino show up at the pagoda, but the force field prevents them from entering. Night Ninja, however, has a plan, and it involves Munki-gu.
In the city, Connor, Greg and Amaya are playing with the PJ Pets when they receive a message from An Yu that she needs their help, so they transform and head for the portal to Mystery Mountain. The PJ Pets try to tag along, but the PJs warn them this mission might be too hard for them, so they order the pets to stay put. Once at Mystery Mountain, An Yu explains the PJ Masks the importance of the Dragon Dance; if performed correctly, the dragon statues will gain more power, but if performed wrong, they lose their powers and leave Mystery Mountain defenseless. She wants the PJs to guard the pagoda so she can perform the dance without being disturbed.
At the entrance of the pagoda, Night Ninja attempts to get Munki-gu to help him by pretending to feel sorry for him about how An Yu treated him. He offers to teach Munki-gu a dragon dance if he helps him get inside the pagoda, so Munki-gu undoes An Yu's protection spell. They enter the pagoda, which triggers the dragon statues. An Yu and the PJ Masks notice something is wrong, and in the city, the PJ Pets feel it, too. They decide to disobey their orders and go to Mystery Mountain anyway; Lionel opens the gate for them. In the pagoda, Night Ninja and Munki-gu begin their dance, and the dragon statues respond. When An Yu and the PJs arrive to stop them, Night Ninja reveals the dance he and Munki-gu just did was actually the Dragon Domination Dance, which will give him control over the dragon statues. Night Ninja has the dragon statues use their stare to take control of An Yu, Munki-gu, and the PJ Masks, putting them under a spell that forces them to dance, while Night Ninja takes control of An Yu's staff.
The PJ Pets arrive in the pagoda, and the PJs apologize for not including them in this mission. Alley Cat and Lionel take out Night Ninja, while Owly blocks the eyes of one of the dragon statues, freeing Munki-gu from its control. Munki-gu seizes An Yu's staff, banishes Night Ninja from the pagoda, and has the dragon statues release the PJ Masks and An Yu. An Yu allows Munki-gu to perform the real Dragon Dance with her, after which they, the PJs and the PJ Pets all shout their victory cry.
