Synopsis

In the city at night, the Speedy Twins are spying on Luna Girl and Motsuki leaving the Park with the Moths. Luna pulls out a moon crystal and uses its power to levitate the cars on the road. Carly and Cartoka drive up in their Flashcar and scare the moon sisters, making Luna drop the crystal and the cars fall on the ground. The twins take the crystal and drive away laughing, much to the moon sisters' anger and sadness.

The following day, Connor and Newton are in the park while Connor is playing with a remote control car, when Cameron approaches from behind and mocks him for his car running slow. The car falls into some bushes, and Cameron laughs as he leaves. Newton believes something is wrong with the car's steering and offers to be Connor's mechanic but the latter refuses the offer, claiming he only needs more speed. But then Newton spots tire tracks on the ground leaving the park, and the boys decide to investigate. That night, the Power Heroes meet up in Power Q, and Catboy immediately chooses to go with the Cat Racer. Newton offers to help as a mechanic, but Catboy refuses, claiming he will easily complete this mission just by being fast and leaves; the Power Heroes notice Newton's disappointment by this.

Catboy arrives in the city in the Cat Racer and finds that many cars were knocked down. He then finds Carly and Cartoka building a ramp, then the twins drive off in the Flashcar. Catboy goes after them and catches up with the twins, but thanks to the moon crystal's power, the Flashcar runs much faster than the Cat Racer, much to Catboy's shock. Meanwhile in Power Q, Newton puts on his Mecha Suit to carry HQ checks. He wonders if Catboy is okay when PJ Robot enters Newton's lab and warns him about the Speedy Twins using the moon crystal's power. Newton calls Catboy, but the latter assures him he can handle the situation with the Cat Racer's speed and ends the call, which makes Newton sad again.

In the city, Catboy is still chasing the Speedy Twins. He activates his car's turbo booster, but the twins, with the moon crystal's power, drive the Flashcar to the ramp and fly really high, to Catboy's astonishment. The Flashcar flies into space, passes by Newton in his Mecha Suit (who is repairing some things in Power Q and doesn't notice the Flashcar) and flies straight to the moon. Newton calls Catboy again to ask if he needs help. The latter might, but then he sees that the moon crystal fell out the Flashcar and decides to use it. He puts the crystal in the Cat Racer's booster and it charges with the crystal's power. Catboy puts on his space suit and uses the ramp to launch the Cat Racer into space.

Meanwhile on the moon, Luna Girl and Motsuki are at the Lunar Fortress arguing about whose fault it is over the moon crystal being taken, when the latter spots the Flashcar landing on the moon. The Cat Racer is right on their tails, and PJ Robot is worried and thinks it's better to call Newton, but Catboy assures him he can do this by himself. The Flashcar lands on the moon; the Speedy Twins get out, and Cartoka starts digging for more moon crystals. Luna Girl and Motsuki show up claiming the moon is theirs, but Carly just ignores them. Cartoka collects more moon crystals and puts them in the car's engine. The twins get back in the Flashcar and drive even faster around the moon, knocking Luna Girl and Motsuki away. Motsuki is angry, but Luna has a much more "naughty" idea. Meanwhile, the Cat Racer is almost at the moon when suddenly, the crystal's power runs out and the car stops working, leaving him stranded in the middle of space.

Meanwhile, as the Speedy Twins put more crystals in the Flashcar's engine, Motsuki gives them another moon crystal. After she puts it in the car's engine, the Flashcar drives off too fast, and the twins can't control it. The car then flies off and that's when Luna Girl activates her Mega Magnet and, by controlling it with her normal magnet, uses it to grab the Flashcar and hurl it straight toward Power Q. Meanwhile, the Cat Racer is floating in space; Catboy tries to call Newton for help, but can't reach him. He remembers how Newton wanted to help, but he kept refusing, preferring to use speed. Then the Flashcar flies pass by the Cat Racer, knocking it away. Catboy sees the Flashcar is going to crash into HQ, and Luna uses her Mega Magnet to push the Flashcar, knocking the Speedy Twins out of the car.

Catboy panics, believing it's too late to call a mechanic. Right at that moment, however, Newton shows up in his Mecha Suit, much to the former's happiness. PJ Robot calls the boys in a panic and warns them that they only have two minutes until the Flashcar crashes into Power Q. Seeing the Mega Magnet, Newton doesn't think he can stop its beam, but Catboy assures him that he can. So Newton charges the Cat Racer and it starts working again. At the Lunar Fortress, the moon sisters are already claiming their victory when the Cat Racer lands on the moon. Catboy takes a moon crystal and the sisters chase him. Newton approaches the Mega Magnet and tells Catboy to take Luna's magnet. The latter manages to do so and gives it to Newton. He uses it to catch the Flashcar right before it can impact Power Q. He then pulls the Flashcar back to the moon ad uses it to destroy the Mega Magnet, much to Luna Girl and Motsuki's shock.

Carly and Cartoka are still floating in space, where the former blames her brother for their current situation. Newton and Catboy fly to them, pulling the Flashcar with the Cat Racer and a rope. The twins get in their car, claiming they don't owe anything to the heroes. Catboy and Newton fly to Earth with the Flashcar, as they shout their victory cry.

Moral/Lesson

  • A fast car alone isn't enough in a race; a good mechanic is always important, too.
