Synopsis

The episode opens at night, where the PJ Masks and PJ Riders are chasing the Flashcar through the city. Power Lizard, however, has trouble keeping up and falls when he tries to make a sharp turn at full speed. The villains escape. Owlette tries to cheer up Gekko by reminding him that, without the Zoom Crystal, the Speedy Twins can't cause too much trouble. However, Night Ninja overhears them, and is immediately interested in this Zoom Crystal.

The following day, Greg is at the library to learn more about lizards, since he hopes he can train Power Lizard to be faster, the same way Connor trained Cat Stripe King. Amaya points out that being fast is Cat Stripe King's thing, and Power Lizard has other skills Greg should focus on instead. Then Connor warns his friends that someone stole the school bus. Naturally, they suspect the Speedy Twins and decide to stop them. So that night, they transform into their superhero identities and head for HQ. There, the PJ Picture Player reveals Night Ninja to be the one who stole the bus, which he turned into his new Ninja Bus. He taunts the PJs how they will never get it back, which Catboy finds suspicious since Night Ninja usually does not reveal his crimes beforehand. Gekko, however, is just eager to see if his training will work. He summons Power Lizard and heads outside to chase Night Ninja.

Owlette and Catboy follow the chase on the PJ Picture Player. When it's clear that Power Lizard can't keep up with the bus, they summon their own riders to go and help. But no sooner are they gone, or three Ninjalinos break into HQ and steal the Zoom Crystal, which was Night Ninja's plan all along. They use the crystal to power up the Ninja Bus and make it faster. Elsewhere in the city, Catboy and Owlette catch up with Gekko, who is still trying to train Power Lizard to be faster. Then the Ninja Bus races past them, and Catboy realizes Night Ninja has the Zoom Crystal. Gekko tries to encourage Power Lizard to find his speed to stop Night Ninja, and to demonstrate what he means, he flies off with Eagle Owl to chase the Ninja Bus. Eagle Owl also can't keep up with the bus, however, and collides with a lamp post, which causes her to crash right into Owlette, Catboy, and Cat Stripe King. The crash leaves Cat Stripe King and Eagle Owl too injured to continue the chase.

With only Power Lizard left standing, Gekko climbs on his back and tries to catch the Ninja Bus. However, Power Lizard trips over his own tail and crashes straight into the Ninja Bus. At that same moment, the Zoom Crystal activates and sends the bus, plus Power Lizard and Gekko, to Zoomzania. Night Ninja is thrilled to have been sent to this world and tries out the Ninja Bus' abilities on the race track. The bus goes so fast that it causes three more Zoom Crystals to emerge from the ground, which the Ninjalinos immediately add to the Ninja Bus. The Speedy Twins notice the Ninja Bus and give chase in the Flashcar to get the Zoom Crystals for themselves. As the Ninja Bus and Flashcar head back for the City, Gekko and Power Lizard are dragged along through the portal.

They all emerge from the portal near Catboy and Owlette. As the villains race away, Owlette points out none of this would have happened if Gekko had not been so obsessed with making Power Lizard faster. Gekko realizes speed is not everything. The same goes for Night Ninja, who had trouble keeping the superpowered Ninja Bus under control. The bus goes haywire, which scares the Speedy Twins, and they retreat back to Zoomzania. The bus, however, is heading straight for the school. Owlette and Catboy try to reach the school on foot, while Gekko appologizes to Power Lizard for his behavior. He thinks Power Lizard's real skills could help now. By using his climbing skills, Power Lizard is able to take a shortcut and catch up with the bus, which allows Gekko to board it and take back the Zoom Crystals. Then Power Lizard uses his strength to stop the bus, after which Gekko shakes Night Ninja and his Ninjalinos out. The villains leave as the PJs plan to return the bus to the school and store all four Zoom Crystals in HQ and shout their victory cry.
