"Gekko, Master of the Deep" is the second segment of the 10th episode in Season 2 episode of PJ Masks. SummaryGekko is the only one who can stop Romeo and his newly transformed "Roboctopus" from stealing metal objects from the city. But there's just one problem: he's too afraid to go into the cave Romeo and Robot are hiding out in. CharactersThe following characters appeared in the episode "Gekko, Master of the Deep": SynopsisThe episode begins with Greg playing with his remote-controlled submarine. Skillful with water-related activities, he proclaims himself as the Master of the Deep. Connor is given a turn to play with his toy. Suddenly, it disappears, although he hasn’t pressed anything. That night, the PJ Picture Player shows that other things around the town have been taken in the same manner by multiple shiny and metal arms. Those belong to Robot, meaning that he and Romeo are underwater, stealing everything on land from there. Since they need to be everywhere, the PJ Masks take all of their super vehicles, with PJ Robot accompanying Gekko. They combat Robot’s arms as they appear to prevent him from taking anything else. During the confrontation, PJ Robot points out that all of the stolen objects are metal. While Catboy and Owlette take care as much as they can on land, Gekko finds Romeo and Robot. The latter is using all the metal stuff to create more arm parts for himself and extend the ones he currently has, taking the form of Roboctopus. Gekko chases the two villains until they enter a dark underwater tunnel, which scares him. PJ Robot encourages him to follow them, especially since Catboy and Owlette are counting on him. He turns on the Gekko-Mobile’s headlights so he can see better. Gekko moves forward a little, but decides to return to the surface so PJ Robot can adjust the brightness. The PJ Masks regroup once he surfaces and Owlette takes care of another robot arm. Romeo and Robot also surface as Gekko claims to Catboy and Owlette about having everything covered while a skeptical PJ Robot brightens up his vehicle’s headlights. In addition to Gekko’s findings of what they were doing, Romeo is planning to use Roboctopus to take over the world once his arms are long enough. He is going to capture everyone and keep them trapped forever unless they do what he says. The team expresses confidence that Gekko will stop him. Gekko nervously agrees and gets back in his vehicle with PJ Robot, but when he chases the villains again, they use his fear of the underwater tunnel to their advantage so he wouldn’t advance further. Through PJ Robot’s encouragement, Gekko reluctantly enters the tunnel leading to a huge cavern. Romeo and Robot suddenly appear in front of the Gekko-Mobile’s windshield and scare him. Robot grabs the vehicle when he quickly exits the place, though he manages to escape. Seeing that he is apparently wounded from him pulling his arm in his struggle to get away, he returns to the surface. Upon his return, all of the robot arms suddenly retreat. He explains to the others as they regroup again that it was by accident. Unfortunately, it was a trick; Robot feigned being hurt as a distraction to take the team’s vehicles so they wouldn’t interfere with Romeo’s plan. Now that his arms are longer and stronger, in addition to the vehicles, he is going to take HQ and use its resources so he’ll be even more powerful. Gekko finally admits to his friends that this was because he was afraid to enter the dark underwater cave. They forgive him, assuring that he’s not a scaredy lizard as Romeo describes him. Additionally, although he could have mentioned this earlier, they apologize for making such a big deal about underwater being his thing, and that they should have helped him. The conversation causes Gekko to regain his confidence. In HQ, Catboy and Owlette give him tips and tricks on how to defeat Roboctopus. Geared up in his spacesuit, he swims underwater, and, despite his fear, inside the underwater cave. After Romeo and Robot spook him again when he surfaces, he runs around the cavern, avoiding the latter’s arms. The result is Romeo and Robot tangled up together. Gekko swims out of the location with more of Robot’s arms in pursuit. Using Owlette’s advice, he loop-de-loops while swimming to dodge them, then tie Robot up completely. Romeo eventually untangles himself from Robot and attempts to catch Gekko. Using Catboy’s advice, Gekko swings his tail to knock him away. He then removes the extra arms off Robot, saving HQ, and brings the two villains to the surface. They run off in defeat. A few moments later, Gekko retrieves all of the stolen metal objects, plus the PJ Masks’ vehicles and his remote-controlled submarine. He thanks his friends for helping him, who praise him for being the Master of the Deep, and asks them for their help in returning everything where they belong. Moral/Lesson
