"Gekko Saves Christmas" (also known as "Gluglu Sauve Noël" in French) is the first segment of the 12th Season 1 episode of PJ Masks. SummaryChristmas ends up in jeopardy when Luna Girl steals everyone's Christmas presents with her Luna Magnet. CharactersThe following characters appeared in the episode "Gekko Saves Christmas": SynopsisThe episode opens up on Christmas Eve. Connor, Amaya (who is wishing for snow), and Greg are ice-skating in the town square. Greg is having trouble keeping his balance during his first time and feels that he won’t be any good. Connor and Amaya give him encouragement and skate beside him as support, stating that ice-skating is a part of Christmas, like the Christmas tree. Just as they say that, the three find all of its decorations gone. Flying into town that night, the PJ Masks spot random flashing lights, which are coming from Luna Girl and her moths stealing everyone’s Christmas presents. They fly off when they confront them. Owlette uses the Owl-Glider’s Owl Wing Wind to blow Luna Girl off her Luna Board. Catboy chases her, and she proceeds to take it to prevent her from flying up to steal more presents, but the moths tangle her foot on the sack’s strings and pull her away, leaving Gekko to be the one to fly away with it. However, Gekko is nervous as he has never ridden the Luna Board before. He attempts to fly it, then quickly changes his mind when he starts losing his balance. Once the board returns to Luna Girl and the moths untangle Owlette, the group escapes. Gekko apologizes about what happened, and the team goes after them on foot since they’re on a street that is too small for the Owl-Glider to go through. In a few moments, after another confrontation upon finding Luna Girl, Owlette lassos the present that she has in her Luna Magnet and pulls it down with Catboy’s help, then wraps the rope around her when she lets go of it to send him falling. The Luna Board falls on the street, and the group lands, although the moths crowd around Catboy and Owlette. They tell Gekko running over to help them to fly away with the Luna Board. He protests, but they encourage him that he can be good at it if he gives it a try. Reluctant, Gekko gets on the board and loses his balance again once he starts flying. He tries to hang on until he gives up, lets go, and safely climbs down the buildings. As soon as Luna Girl retrieves her board, the team chases her to the top of the buildings before she can steal more presents, where she traps Owlette and spins her around. Catboy grabs the board, making her let go of her so she can attempt to shake him off, and Gekko catches her. With Owlette too dizzy to do anything right now, much to his dismay, Gekko is left to get on the Luna Board and help Catboy in trouble. She informs him that the reason why he’s thinking that he can’t fly it at all is because he keeps jumping off. With her support and encouragement, Gekko realizes that she’s right and decides to try again. Camouflaging himself, he jumps onto the side of the buildings, and as soon as Luna Girl stops flying, he reappears, jumps on, and attempts to balance himself out, causing her to fall off and drop her Luna Magnet. While a recovered Owlette takes the magnet and traps Luna Girl, Gekko promises Catboy losing his grip that he’ll get him to safety once he manages to fly the Luna Board, as he fears that he could lose his balance if he bends down to pull him up. After a few close calls, he starts getting the hang of it. He almost panics when they go up too high, though Catboy, who manages to climb on, reminds him to calm down. He carefully flies down and lands near Owlette, an eventually-freed Luna Girl, and the moths flying over with the sack of stolen presents. Just as the team can celebrate their victory, however, Luna Girl reveals that she never had a real Christmas before; she is only by herself. Feeling really bad for her, they offer to spend the rest of Christmas Eve with her once all the presents and decorations are returned. She accepts, and she and her moths help the team return the presents. At one point, she tries to sneak one away, but they interfere. She doesn’t press any further. After finishing, the PJ Masks thank Luna Girl for her help and give her back her Luna Magnet and Luna Board, which Gekko has gotten so much better at that he comes to love it. They then return the Christmas tree decorations and light them up. Just as Luna Girl gets upset again since she did not get any presents, Catboy gives one to her, which reveals to be a pair of ice skates. She’s excited, but sadly states that she hasn’t ice-skated before. Gekko empathizes with her and encourages her that they’ll try. The four kids get on the ice rink and proclaim the signature victory phrase. Later, with Catboy and Owlette’s help, Gekko and Luna Girl are slowly able to ice-skate by themselves. Soon, it starts snowing, much to Owlette’s excitement. Everyone tries to catch a snowflake on their tongue and share a laugh together, ending the episode. Moral/Lesson
