SummariesU.S.While Gekko tries to stop the Ninjalinos on his own, Night Ninja tries to take over HQ. FrenchEager to prove that he is still the master of the depths, Gluglu decides to prevent the Ninjazouaves from jet skiing in the moat, without noticing that it is a diversion of Ninjaka to put his plan into action: take control of the HQ. CharactersThe following characters appeared in the episode "Gekko Takes Charge": SynopsisThe episode starts off with Connor, Amaya, and Greg biking around town during their vacation. Their vacation is cut short, though, when they spot a small ramp in the moat covered with Ninjalinos footprints. That night, the PJ Picture Player shows the Ninjalinos jet-skiing in the moat while sticky splatting the buildings. With Gekko in his suit, the PJ Masks take off in the moat in the Gekko-Mobile. Gekko jumps in to take care of the Ninjalinos while Catboy and Owlette, who has jumped in the driver’s seat, follow him. However, the vehicle loses control when a couple of Ninjalinos drive in the team’s way. Gekko is able to save them in time before they crash. Owlette asks Gekko for advice on how to save the day in the water, to which he responds that she should do what comes naturally. Catboy attempts to stop the incoming Ninjalinos, but he is spooked when they try to splash him, since he has a fear of water. He asks Gekko what he should do, though he cannot explain it well. The team does need to look for Night Ninja, so Gekko tells the team to spot him in the PJ Picture Player while he deals with the Ninjalinos. Catboy and Owlette are back at HQ with PJ Robot to be on the lookout for Night Ninja or his Ninjalinos coming Gekko’s way. Gekko continues dealing with the Ninjalinos in the moat, but he is forced to escape his vehicle when they throw Sticky Splats at him; he continues chasing them on foot. With the vehicle now left behind, though, a couple of Ninjalinos remove the sticky splats. They board with Night Ninja with a box in their possession. The other Ninjalinos on land lead Gekko on a chase by making him chase a shadow of his Gekko-Mobile. The rest of the PJ Masks, who haven’t found Night Ninja yet, ask if he needs help, though he claims he has it under control. Meanwhile, Night Ninja and his Ninjalinos arrive at HQ and open the box, revealing a bubble container full of a new kind of splat: Sleepy Splat. Night Ninja blows some bubbles, and they travel up to Catboy’s base room, where they pop on Catboy and Owlette, making them fall asleep for 100 years. The ninjas go up to the base room where they take PJ Robot prisoner. The Ninjalinos take Catboy and Owlette to Owlette’s base room and guard them, while Night Ninja makes PJ Robot do whatever he says, since the Sleepy Splat doesn’t work on him. Gekko returns to HQ to get Catboy and Owlette’s help in retrieving the Gekko-Mobile, but he finds the Ninjalinos surrounding the structure. He tries contacting his friends, only for Night Ninja to tell him that they are sleeping, enabling him to take over HQ. Gekko is in disbelief of what happened; he should have directed how his friends could help out instead of trying to handle the mission by himself. He becomes determined to fix this, and he contacts PJ Robot to help him out with a plan. Gekko grabs the ninjas’ attention by saying that Night Ninja can’t defeat him and he’s coming into HQ. Night Ninja orders his Ninjalinos to get him, and they try to Sleepy Splat him as well. As Gekko distracts the Ninjalinos and avoids the Sleepy Splat bubbles while Night Ninja watches from the PJ Picture Player, PJ Robot sneaks up into Owlette’s base room, where he wakes up Catboy and Owlette by saying that it’s time to be a hero. He frees them from the sticky splat web, and Owlette blows Night Ninja and the couple of Ninjalinos with him away when they return to Catboy’s base room. However, they see that Gekko has been hit by the Sleepy Splat and is sinking to the bottom of the moat. The PJ Masks retrieve Gekko in the Gekko-Mobile, where PJ Robot wakes him up once they surface. Gekko apologizes about trying to do everything on his own, and they head back inside to get rid of the ninjas together. Catboy ties up the villains with his stripes as they recover, while Gekko opens up the cat flap. Owlette blows them away, and they retreat, and HQ is back in the PJ Masks’ possession. Gekko learns that one of the important things of being a good leader is to decide how the others should help out. Catboy and Owlette thank Gekko and PJ Robot for saving them, and removing Night Ninja’s flag that was placed on top of HQ earlier, the team proclaims their signature victory phrase. Moral/Lesson
