Synopsis

Part 1

The special begins in the Park where Ice Cub is taking Lilyfay to visit Iceworld for the very first time ever. Using the Icicle Key, Ice Cub opens the entrance and the two heroes enter through the portal. In Iceworld, Ice Cub talks about everything in it, how the Icicle Crystal is connected to his powers after he visited it for the very first time and about how he looks after Iceworld, but Lilyfay talks about how she, being a space fairy, rides space comets made of ice, which are colder than the weather of Iceworld, and how she always had her powers since she was born and shows off what she can do, and this makes Ice Cub annoyed. Ice Cub then senses trouble with his polar bear nose. He and Lilyfay go to the Stairway of Ice, where they find the same reindeer he met during his first time in Iceworld hanging on it. Ice Cub uses his snowboard to go to the top of the Stairway, where he finds Lilyfay, who has made it first. The reindeer has his hooves stuck in ice, Ice Cub wants to break the ice, but Lilyfay breaks it with her Starlight Zing first. The Reindeer is free, but Ice Cub is annoyed by Lilyfay's behavior. The two heroes eventually leave Iceworld, Lilyfay flies to the other side of the universe, leaving Ice Cub alone with the Icicle key. Unbeknownst to him, Romeo is watching everything from a tree and laughs maliciously thinking about the key.

The following day, Connor, Amaya and Greg meet up with Ivan in his house after class, he talks with them about last night and how Lilyfay didn't take him seriously in Iceworld and just showed off, he is upset with this. Amaya believes Ivan needs to talk with her about his feelings, but Connor and Greg comment how daydreaming Lilyfay is. Ivan decides to take Lilyfay to Iceworld again and reaches to the drawer where he keeps the Icicle key in, but when he opens it, he sees the key is gone. Fearing a villain might have stolen the key to enter Iceworld, the four kids decide to gather all the Power Heroes for this mission. That night, the Power Heroes meet up in Power Q. Ice Cub is still annoyed by Lilyfay talking about what she can do. But then the heroes see that someone has entered Iceworld, they decide that Catboy, Owlette, Gekko, Ice Cub and Lilyfay will go to Iceworld while Newton, An Yu and Bastet will check the city to find more clues. To enter Iceworld, PJ Robot creates a copy of the Icicle Key.

Riding the PJ Explorider and the Ice Dasher, and with the PJs wearing their Mega suits, the five heroes head to the entrance of Iceworld. Ice Cub uses the copied key, although it opens the door, it starts closing. Ice Cub uses one of his super snowballs to keep it open, but it doesn't work. Then Lilyfay uses her Ice Comet Zing and manages to open the door, to the PJs' amusement and Ice Cub's annoyance, again. When they enter Iceworld, the heroes meet with Romeo's Fly Bots, which attack them and they fight back. Meanwhile, Romeo and Robot are in front of the Cave of Ice Powers holding the Icicle key, where they reveal that Romeo upgraded Robot's stretching arm with an invisibility function and he used it to steal the Icicle Key from Ivan's room. Using his new technological ice suit, he enters the cave, dodges the polar bear guardians' freeze rays, reaches the statue and takes the Icicle Crystal.

Part 2

Catboy, Owlette, Gekko, Ice Cub and Lilyfay are fighting the Fly Bots when suddenly Ice Cub realizes something is wrong with his powers, and with Iceworld. Romeo then appears riding his Laboggan and shows the heroes the Icicle Crystal he stole, much to Ice Cub's shock. Since the crystal's powers are connected to Ice Cub's, the Crystal being away from the Cave of Ice Powers causes Ice Cub's powers to grow weaker. The Fly Bots then take the heroes' vehicles but Owlette and Gekko stop them. Ice Cub senses that Iceworld is angry without the Icicle Crystal. Romeo and Robot attempt to escape immediately. Ice Cub tries to stop them with the rest of his powers, but Lilyfay gets in his way with her Starlight Zing, making Ice Cub and Catboy collide with the Ice Dasher in ice. Romeo makes his getaway out of Iceworld, but Catboy manages to retrieve the Icicle Key with his Super Cat Stripes.

Leaving Iceworld, Ice Cub blames himself for letting Romeo stealing the Icicle Crystal, but he also blames Lilyfay for getting in his way, Lilyfay is offended by this and she and Ice Cub are brought into an argument, much to their friends' concern. The following day, Greg and Amaya are with Ivan in his room, where he reads comic books about superheroes who failed their missions and considers himself a failure too. Greg and Amaya comfort him and encourage him to retrieve the Icicle Crystal and return it to Iceworld, and they all will help him, including Lilyfay. But Ivan doesn't want to work with her again. Connor then enters the room in a rush, because Romeo has used the Icicle Crystal's powers to freeze things in the Park.

That night, the Power Heroes meet in Power Q, where they see that Romeo is using the Icicle Crystal's powers to blast ice from his Sky Factory. He drains the crystal's power to charge his Fly Bots and his new ice blaster with the power to shoot freeze rays on everything and take over the city. PJ Robot has the vehicles ready. Ice Cub decides to get on the Flying Factory to retrieve the Icicle Crystal, even though his powers are weak. While everyone else leaves, Lilyfay stays behind with Ice Cub to work with him, but he just ignores her and takes the PJ Explorider to Earth.

The other Power Heroes arrive in the city with the Cat-Car, Owl-Glider and Gekko-Mobile. The heroes fight the Fly Bots and manage to take them down at first, but some of the Power Heroes and their vehicles get frozen by the freeze rays. Meanwhile, Ice Cub is flying towards the Sky Factory when Lilyfay flies to him and offers to help, but he claims he doesn't need her and flies to the factory. Offended by his words, Lilyfay flies back into space sadly. Romeo, as part of his plan, orders his Fly Bots to return to the Factory. The Power Heroes are confused but believe it's because Ice Cub and Lilyfay are getting into the Factory together. Catboy calls PJ Robot to transport the heroes and their frozen vehicles back to Power Q. Romeo flies the Factory to Power Q while Ice Cub tries to catch up, but he loses control and collides with the PJ Explorider in the Park.

Part 3

The Power Heroes, now unfrozen, are back in Power Q. Romeo is flying next to the HQ in his Sky Factory. Draining more power from the Icicle Crystal, Romeo uses his ice blaster to freeze all the outside doors of Power Q. With this, not only the Power Heroes are trapped in HQ, but the power is knocked out, and the temperature in HQ drops to very cold. Then Romeo hits HQ with the Factory, pushing it away from Earth, to deeper space, where it's even colder. Then, the gravity in HQ is turned off, causing them to float. Bastet tries to use her Sun Disc to melt the ice, but her powers are frozen. The PJs put on their Mega suits to warm up a little and call Ice Cub.

On Earth, Ice Cub can't get the PJ Explorider to work again. Then the Power Heroes call him from HQ and tell him everything that’s happened. Owlette then realizes Lilyfay is not with him and asks him where she is. He nervously confesses that he and Lilyfay argued again and she left for the other side of the universe. The connection starts failing because the HQ is too far from Earth. But the Power Heroes manage to tell him to retrieve the Icicle Crystal and take control of the Sky Factory to rescue them. Then the transmission ends. In space, the temperature in HQ is dropping even more. The heroes decide to try restore some of HQ's systems. Gekko and PJ Robot go to the vehicle bay to get the backup power cells while Owlette tries to reboot the main computer. Newton goes to his lab to find a way to melt the ice off the engines while Catboy, An Yu and Bastet put the floating chairs back in place.

On Earth, Ice Cub barely has any power, but manages to make an ice ramp. With his snowboard, he uses the ramp to reach to the Sky Factory. In the HQ, Gekko and PJ Robot try to use the backup power cells to restore the power. It works at first, but then fails. Owlette can't get the main computer to work either. In the Factory, Ice Cub enters the lab and finds the Crystal Icicle still having its power drained by Romeo. Ice Cub sneaks in and tries to get the Crystal, but this triggers the intruder alarm. Ice Cub tries to use his snowballs, but they are becoming very small and weak. Romeo drains more of the Crystal's powers, making Ice Cub's powers fade even more. The Fly Bots chase Ice Cub, but he manages to escape and hide. He then returns to the lab, dodges the Fly Bots and finally retrieves the Icicle Crystal. But it's too late. Romeo has already drained all of its power. The Icicle Crystal releases a wave of power, blowing it and Ice Cub out of the Sky Factory. As they are falling down, Ice Cub uses the last of the crystal's powers to make some snow on the ground to soften his fall and save him. Now Ice Cub's and the crystal's powers are seemingly gone for good.

In HQ, the Heroes still can't melt the ice off, but Owlette manages to turn the gravity back on. Gekko and PJ Robot try to turn the engines back on again, but the ice is making things worse and the temperature drops even more. The Power Heroes all meet up in the main area to try and call Ice Cub again, but they are in deep space. Suddenly, they hear a familiar voice; Lilyfay. She explains that she was in deep space when she felt the PJs' energy. When they explain to her what happened, she tries to power the HQ with her powers, but it's too heavy. The heroes encourage her to work with Ice Cub. Although they argued, Lilyfay is still worried about Ice Cub, but is still reluctant to work with him at first. But she soon realizes that her friends were right, so she flies back to Earth.

Part 4

Lilyfay returns to Earth, where she finds the Sky Factory blasting ice on everything. Then she spots Ice Cub hiding in an alleyway with the Icicle Crystal. Ice Cub tells her that Romeo drained all its powers, and his as well. Lilyfay laments, but Ice Cub claims it was his fault, as he pushed her away instead of accepting her help. Ice Cub and Lilyfay reconcile. He comes up with a new plan: he believes that maybe taking the Icicle Crystal back to Iceworld will restore its powers, and his as well. Lilyfay agrees with no hesitation and the two enter Iceworld together. The place is vibrating and Ice Cub can feel Iceworld’s anger and fear for losing the Icicle Crystal.

Back in outer space, in the HQ, the Power Heroes, all together, try one more time to restore the power, but it fails again. In Iceworld, Ice Cub and Lilyfay head to the Tunnel of Winds. Ice Cub tries to pass by the strong winds, but he is too weak and gets blown away. His powers are diminished for good, and he transforms back into his civilian identity. The reindeer appears, and Ivan and Lilyfay cuddle with him. Ivan then sees a dead tree trunk nearby and gets an idea. Ivan and Lilyfay, using two pocketknives, cut some sticks from the tree and build a sled. The reindeer pulls the sled with Ivan, Lilyfay and the Icicle Crystal riding on it, and they manage to pass the Tunnel of Winds. They enter the Cave of Ice Powers, and the polar bear guardians zap Ivan and Lilyfay. Thankfully, they don't get zapped. Ivan believes he can't do it because he has no powers, and Lilyfay doesn't know anything about Iceworld. But then Ivan reminds her the two have made it this far by working together, so the two cooperate more. Lilyfay uses her Starlight Zing to stop the polar bear guardians and Ivan takes the Icicle Crystal to the statue. Then Ivan is about to get zapped, but Lilyfay uses her Ice Comet Zing to blow him to the statue, but then she gets zapped and frozen.

Ivan puts the Icicle Crystal back in the statue, and its powers are restored, and Ivan transforms back into Ice Cub, making his powers much stronger. Ice Cub hugs Lilyfay, and unfreezes her. But then Lilyfay feels weaker because there is no starlight in the cave. She runs out of Starlight Zing and faints. Ice Cub carries her and takes her outside. He lifts her to the stars, and her health is restored. Ice Cub and Lilyfay hug the reindeer in farewell and leave Iceworld to save their team. Back in the city, Romeo is still zapping everything from his Sky Factory, then Ice Cub and Lilyfay appear. Romeo is in shock realizing that Ice Cub has his powers back and Lilyfay hits the Factory with her Starlight Zing. Romeo sends his Fly Bot army after them. Lilyfay and Ice Cub make the Fly Bots collapse into each other. The two heroes then combine their ice powers together and freeze Romeo's ice blaster so he can't blast ice anymore.

Ice Cub and Lilyfay enter the Factory and kick Romeo out of it, and Ice Cub makes a pile of snow on the ground to soften Romeo's fall and save him. The Power Heroes are still in HQ in space, where the temperature has dropped even more. When Ice Cub and Lilyfay ride the Sky Factory, they take the HQ back to Earth, where the power turns back on. After this, Ice Cub's powers have become stronger than before, as well as his friendship with Lilyfay. The Power Heroes all gather in the Park and hug together. Robot takes Romeo back to the Factory and they leave. The Power Heroes shout their victory cry after such a successful mission.
