Synopsis
The episode begins with Kevin showing a comic about his favorite wolf hero, Muscle Wolf. Howler and Rip are uninterested until they hear that he was the only one who found the Wolfy Bone, which is found under a special wolf moon. Anyone who finds it will become as powerful as him. A treasure map falls out when Howler grabs the comic book with all the clues that will appear under the super wolf moon tomorrow night.
Kevin offers to lead the Wolfies in finding the Wolfy Bone. Howler and Rip refuse and fight over the map, causing it to rip into two pieces. They take off to find the bone with Kevin following behind. The next night, after finding the school in a messy state, the PJ Masks see on the PJ Picture Player the Wolfies searching. Gekko notes that Kevin is not around, but Catboy and Owlette ignore this and head to the Owl-Glider. He decides to search the park.
Gekko meets Kevin arriving at the park and grabbing the map pieces while Catboy and Owlette go after Howler and Rip, who have decided to use their noses instead to find the Wolfy Bone. Kevin explains what’s going on and how he wants to find it, but the Wolfies won’t listen to him. Gekko empathizes with him, saying that it’s not easy being the youngest member. After the team checks on how he’s doing, then cuts him off before he can say who he found, he gives Kevin support and encouragement to find the Wolfy Bone and offers to help him.
Gekko and Kevin find a boulder near a wolf-shaped one. Under it is a chest containing wolf eye specs. As the two head over to the museum for the next clue, Gekko throws Kevin up in the air while he camouflages himself to briefly hide from a couple of members of their respective groups during their chase. The two then head inside; Kevin uses the wolf eye specs until he sees a wolf statue. Inside is Muscle Wolf’s stop tag that leads where the Wolfy Bone is buried.
Gekko and Kevin hide again when they hear Howler and Rip enter the museum to find the latter, finally deciding to let him help find the Wolfy Bone. As a distraction, Kevin rolls a stone over to them to play with. The boys go on the rooftop where a stone slab with a wolf’s head is located. Kevin stands on top of it and shines the stop tag under the moonlight, which points to underground. They enter through the sewer hole and find a cave which contains the Wolfy Bone in a wolf statue’s mouth. However, there are traps everywhere.
Kevin sniffs out a secret pathway until he retrieves the Wolfy Bone. His appearance doesn’t change, so believing that the bone only works under the moonlight, he and Gekko start to leave when Howler and Rip arrive, grab it, and fight over it. Catboy and Owlette also arrive and try to take it from them. The bone gets thrown and hits the statue that was holding it as a result, triggering a trap that closes the cave entrance and locks everyone in.
Gekko explains what happened, then he and Kevin confront their respective groups about how they weren’t listening to them. While Howler and Rip give the alibi that they would be stuck in a mess if they listened to Kevin, Catboy and Owlette apologize to Gekko as they were too focused on catching the Wolfies. They affirm that even though he and Kevin are the youngest members, they are still amazing; as proof, they found the Wolfy Bone. Kevin is still upset because it didn’t make him as powerful as Muscle Wolf, but Gekko praises him on how he did so far and believes that he can find a way to free everyone.
After looking at the wolf statues and the map, Kevin instructs everyone to climb on one each and howl. This causes the main one to send a sonic howl that destroys the cave door. Outside, the PJ Masks praise Kevin for truly being the top dog, even without a bone to give him powers. Catboy and Owlette then praise Gekko and apologize for hurting his feelings. Kevin is given the Wolfy Bone as a symbol for his actions, thanks Gekko for his help, and the Wolfies leave to take turns holding it and bury it in various places.
