Lionel is a lizard who is owned by Gekko. He has been a recurring character since the first season. As of Season 5, he is a member of the PJ Pets.

Physical appearance

Lionel is green in color and has sharp teeth. He also has large eyes and a crest on his head. He also has light green spots on him.

Personality

Lionel is an energetic, spunky, and super fast lizard that seems to act more like a domesticated dog than a lizard; as he likes to play fetch, can jump really high, sits like a dog, loves chin rubs, and even licks others like one. In "Lionel-Saurus," Gekko mentions that Lionel doesn’t like leashes.

Powers and abilities

Lionel represents Gekko's spirit animal.

In "Lionel's Powers," Lionel briefly gained telekinetic powers after swallowing a piece of red Sticky Splat.

As of "Ninja Power Up," Lionel has all of Gekko's powers after being exposed to the PJ Crystal Totem, and has become a supporting member of the PJ Masks.
