SummaryLuna secretly steals Motsuki's powers. Gekko and Catboy investigate the theft, but mess up! Can they find it in themselves to make it right?[2] CharactersThe following characters appeared in the episode "Luna's Moon Attack":
SynopsisPart 1The episode opens with Luna Girl flying through the city, trying to think up what she will do tonight, while also lamenting how she still cannot go to the moon and misses it very much. Motsuki teleports to her, and the two have another argument, upon which Motsuki disappears again. Then Luna Girl spots Newton, Catboy and Gekko sharing some things they have; the two PJs have a new comic book about Detecto-Tron, while Newton has a Blue Asteroid that he brought from a faraway galaxy. Luna notices her magnet reacting to the asteroid, and realizes she can use it to get back at Motsuki. She follows Newton home, and when he is asleep, she enters his room and steals the asteroid. She then sends her moths to Motsuki to tell her that she's willing to be nice from now on, but it was only a trick; the moment Motsuki comes to Luna, she uses the asteroid and her magnet to steal Motsuki's powers, reverting her back to a normal moth. Luna returns the asteroid to Newton's room to cover her tracks, and uses her new power to teleport away. The following day, Greg and Connor are pretending to be detectives, just like Detecto-Tron. Then Newton calls them on Amaya's tablet; he knows someone has been in his room last night because although Luna Girl returned the asteroid, she forgot to clean up the mess she accidentally made while stealing it. Greg and Connor are eager to have an actual case to solve, so that night, they and Amaya transform into their superhero alter-egos and meet up with Newton in his room. Newton suspects Luna Girl, considering the large number of space-related items he has. Catboy, however, suspects Night Ninja because he mistakes an asteroid from Newton's collection for a Sticky Splat ball. When he and Gekko spot a Ninjalino walking across a rooftop, they chase after him, while Owlette and Newton reluctantly follow. Meanwhile, on the moon, Luna Girl is enjoying a tea party in the Lunar Fortress. She decides to go to Earth to gather more stuff for her fortress. She starts at a store, where she steals some vegetables. Motsuki and the moths confront her, but are unable to do anything. When Luna notices the Cat-Car and Gekko-Mobile coming her way, she teleports away. From the Gekko-Mobile, Owlette spots the moths and wants to investigate, but Gekko insists on following the Ninjalino. They follow the Ninjalino to the park, where he joins Night Ninja and the other Ninjalinos for a game of soccer. They figure that he was not up to anything bad after all. Then Newton's Emblem begins to glow, indicating there is trouble in space. Gekko and Catboy ignore him, however. With his Cat Ears, Catboy picks up the sound from Robot and figures that Romeo might be the culprit they're looking for. As the PJs and Newton chase after this new lead, Luna Girl robs Gekko's room of more things for her fortress, including his bed. The PJs find Robot near Greg's house, and Gekko and Catboy chase after him. Luna, meanwhile, has brought Greg's bed to the moon and prepares for her real plan; she activates the Mega Magnet on top of the fortress and fires it towards the city. Meanwhile, Gekko and Catboy interrogate Robot about the current turn of events that happened, but he denies it, claiming he was just picking flowers for Robette's birthday. Owlette and Newton finally have had enough of it and tell Catboy and Gekko that Luna Girl is the one they are looking for. Catboy remains skeptical, until the ray from the Mega Magnet appears behind them and pulls their PJ vehicles into space. The ray also captures the moths, except for one. Newton then realizes the moth that stayed behind is actually Motsuki, and thus concludes that Luna stole Motsuki's powers. On the moon, Luna has some fun driving the stolen Gekko-Mobile before proceeding with her plan. She decides to steal Newton's asteroids. However, before she can do so, she notices the PJ rocket ship coming her way, and fires the Mega Magnet at them. The ray hits the rocket ship and sends it hurtling back to Earth. Unfortunately for Luna, this action uses up the last of the Mega Magnet's power, and it shuts down. Luna is not planning to let this stop her, however. HQ crashes back on Earth, and needs to be repaired before they can make another trip to the moon, which, according to PJ Robot, might take until tomorrow night. Newton cannot wait that long since he now knows Luna is after his asteroids. Gekko and Catboy feel sorry for leading their team astray with their poor detective work and that their enthusiasm got the best of them. Part 2The next day, Connor announces he will bring his Detecto-Tron comics back to the library, while Greg makes Newton some granola bars to apologize for last night. Amaya tries to cheer her friends up with the news that PJ Robot must have fixed HQ by now, and they will stop Luna tonight. So that night, they all transform into their superhero alter-egos and meet up at HQ, along with Motsuki. Unfortunately, HQ is not fixed yet. Owlette encourages Newton to go to the moon himself. Newton takes her advice. As he flies away, Owlette notices Gekko and Catboy are still glum about how they screwed up last night. On the moon, Luna Girl is using Moon Crystals to recharge her magnet and the Mega Magnet. She suddenly notices Newton approaching his asteroids, and zaps him with the Mega Magnet. Newton falls back to Earth. The PJs notice he is in trouble on the PJ Picture Player, and since HQ is not ready yet, Owlette tells Catboy and Gekko to use the Owl-Glider to save Newton. Gekko is afraid they will mess things up again, but Owlette encourages him they will not. They narrowly manage to save Newton before he hits the ground. As they return with Newton to HQ, Luna Girl watches them through her telescope and gets an idea. She fires the Mega Magnet at HQ, and traps it in a force field, leaving the heroes stranded there. She then proceeds with her plan to steal Newton's asteroids. In HQ, Owlette gives Gekko and Catboy a motivational pep talk about how their hero Detecto-Tron would never give up, even in a situation like this, to snap them out of their depression. Her speech also inspires Newton to focus and try to connect to his asteroids from inside HQ. Despite the distance, he succeeds and moves them out of the way of the Mega Magnet's ray. Unfortunately, the ray strikes another much larger asteroid and pulls it toward the moon on a collision course with the fortress. Using the communicator in the Gekko-Mobile, Gekko calls Luna Girl and warns her of the impending danger she's in. Luna quickly turns off the Mega Magnet, but the asteroid still remains on its collision course. Luna panics and teleports herself to HQ to ask the PJs for help. Gekko advises Luna to teleport herself and Newton to the asteroid so they can use their powers to blast it apart and alter its course. Luna does as told, but she and Newton are not strong enough to damage the asteroid. Catboy suggests they let Motsuki help, but to do so, Luna will have to give Motsuki back her powers. Luna thus teleports to HQ, and apologizes to Motsuki for all she has done wrong. She teleports herself and Motsuki back to the moon, where she restores Motsuki's powers and appearance. Newton also joins them, and the three of them fire their powers at the asteroid, successfully shattering it into several smaller pieces that fly away without causing any harm and therefore altering its course. The force field around HQ disappears, and the PJs can finally get out. Outside they are greeted by Newton, Luna Girl and Motsuki. Motsuki returns all the things Luna stole to thank the PJs for their help. Motsuki and Luna finally reconcile and return to the moon together. Owlette is not too sure if this is a good thing, but for now, the heroes enjoy another success and shout their victory cry. Moral/Lesson
