Synopsis
The episode begins with Connor, Amaya, and Greg finding the playground wrecked, with the symbol of an angry armadillo drawn in the sandbox. That night, the PJ Picture Player shows a boulder rolling around and wrecking the town. The PJ Masks return to the playground to check what it is and stop it. As Gekko fixes the climbing frame, they hear a rumbling sound followed by the boulder’s entrance.
The boulder unravels itself to reveal a big kid wearing armadillo armor, who introduces himself as Armadylan and proclaims to be the city’s newest hero. He apologizes for the damage he caused as he is getting used to his new powers, such as his Rolling Thunder. The team introduce themselves to him and inform that they’re already the city’s heroes, but are always happy to have new heroes like him and be super buddies. Excited, Armadylan rolls off, bending the climbing frame again and causing more damage.
In a few moments, the team finds Night Ninja and his Ninjalinos tied up on a lamppost. Night Ninja explains that they were practicing their ninja pyramid in the park when Armadylan came in and made them fall. They also accidentally knocked over a trash can, and before they could clean it up, he used the lamppost to tie them up, believing that they littered. The team lets Armadylan know that what happened with the ninjas did was an accident that he caused and that he can't go around attacking people like that.
After a brief team huddle, the team offers to help Armadylan be an amazing hero, advising him about learning to control his powers and making the right choices in using them. However, Armadylan misinterprets this as them saying he's not as good as them and takes further offense when Gekko attempts to free the ninjas from the lamppost while explaining that heroes don't punish innocent people.
Believing that they're saying he's not a real hero, Armadylan throws a tantrum and then rolls off to prove that he has what it takes by taking the team down. Catboy has him chase him with his Super Cat Speed until Gekko stops him from rolling with his Super Gekko Muscles. Owlette then traps him with her Super Owl Feathers. However, Armadylan tunnels out and retaliates with his Thunder Thump that rattles the whole city and knocks the team down. He charges towards them, but despite being shocked at what he has, they eventually stop him by demonstrating how to be in control of their powers.
Amazed, Armadylan asks the team how they were able to stop him, to which they respond that they’ve practiced as it took them some time themselves before they were able to control their own powers, use them in the best way possible, and become heroes. They affirm that they’re happy to help him in doing so. Armadylan appreciates their gestures and admits that he still has a lot to learn. He frees the ninjas and cleans up the mess he made, then says goodbye and rolls off.
The next day, the playground has been fixed, and the sandbox now has a happy armadillo drawn in it.
