Synopsis
The episode starts with a battle between Romeo and Pirate Robot. Pirate Robot tells his imaginary crew to attack, but realizes he doesn't have a crew. He instead launches a cannonball at the Flying Factory, defeating Romeo, and flies away.
The next day, Amaya, Connor, and Greg go to the playground, but see a lot of metal pieces all over the place. Greg thinks that it's Pirate Robot up to his tricks again, though Amaya says that pirates aren't always bad and tells him that he played one at school. He thinks of Pirate Robot trying to cook up snacks instead of naughty pirate plans.
As the PJ Masks arrive at HQ, Owlette searches for Pirate Robot, who is at the lakeside. They greet him as he shows them a map, while Gekko shows him a book containing a muffin recipe and offers to bring him some ingredients. Pirate Robot ignores him as he, Catboy, and Owlette check the map, which the latter points out is a picture of the library. He prepares to set sail for the location, but remembers that he doesn't have a crew. Despite Gekko's protests, Catboy and Owlette climb aboard. Gekko reluctantly joins them as well and attempts to show Pirate Robot a few cooking techniques, all of which prove ineffective.
The group soon arrives to find an 'X' on the ground. Pirate Robot, Owlette, and Gekko leave the ship while Catboy stays behind, Pirate Robot suspicious, thinking that it should be trickier than it is right now to find treasure. His suspicion grows further when he digs out an oven. As Gekko continues trying to convince him about cooking, he responds that the activity isn't made for him. He begins to explain why when the Flying Factory appears, and he, Owlette, and Gekko get captured. It reveals that this was all Romeo's plan to reclaim Pirate Robot so he can make snacks for him since it was meant to be his original purpose.
Pirate Robot is forced to cook under the threat that he will never see Owlette and Gekko again. He makes spaghetti and a bunch of muffins for Romeo's five-past-midnight snack, to which he angrily rejects and pushes away and demands him to make banana and onion baguettes instead. With enough exposure to cooking, Pirate Robot loses his pirate personality and cooks as intended. Meanwhile, Romeo starts attacking a struggling Catboy controlling the ship and coming into view so he can save the others.
With Gekko now realizing how unhappy Pirate Robot is when cooking and the reason why he doesn't like it, he and Owlette sing Pirate Robot's theme song to make him remember who he is. It works; he is restored back to his old self. Gekko then comes up with a plan: since Pirate Robot is great at being a pirate and cooking, he can combine these talents together to help the group escape. Pirate Robot agrees.
No sooner than Fly Bot 337B approaches Romeo with a dish under the name "Chef Surprise" does Pirate Robot reveal himself. As the two engage in battle, Romeo threatening to reprogram Pirate Robot to butler mode, Fly Bot 337B defeats two Fly Bots. Pirate Robot rejoins Owlette and Gekko, and the three attempt to escape, only for Romeo to capture them with a remote. He demands Fly Bot 337B to clean up the mess, but inspired by the recent events, she decides to stop Romeo instead by hitting an onion towards him, causing him to drop the remote. Now freed, Pirate Robot, Owlette, Gekko, and Fly Bot 337B, who has decided to join Pirate Robot and grabs his hat, escape the factory and board the ship.
Pirate Robot gives Fly Bot 337B a pirate-themed makeover and the title of first mate, along with a new name: Fly Bot Sally. He gives out muffins, and everyone shouts the victory cry.
