It is the first part of the "Moonstruck" special. SummariesU.S.The PJ Masks must travel to the Moon to keep Luna Girl from enhancing her Luna Magnet powers, but Gekko is nervous about being so far away from home. FrenchSorceline flies to the red moon to gain new powers thanks to very rare moon crystals. Les Pyjamasques run after her, but Gluglu is afraid of going into space, this unknown and so unpredictable world. CharactersThe following characters appeared in the episode "Moonstruck: Race to the Moon": SynopsisThe episode begins with the class on a field trip to the museum to discuss the harvest moon, which comes out once a year. Coincidentally, the harvest moon is going to appear tonight. Connor, Amaya, and Greg are excited, but that means Luna Girl will be up to no good, especially since she loves the moon. This is confirmed through the PJ Picture Player that night, so the PJ Masks set out to stop her. Luna Girl appears as the team admires the harvest moon and announces how it supercharged her Luna Magnet. This will allow her to finally take herself to the moon, build her kingdom, and claim all of its most powerful treasures, especially the harvest moon crystal, which will render her powers unstoppable. The team thinks she’s lying, but begin to reconsider when she forms a moon bubble around her and takes off into space, something that she’s never done before. Not willing to risk deciding if the moon crystal’s real or not, Catboy declares that they’ll have to go after her themselves into space through HQ’s rocket ship function. The team drives back to HQ, although Gekko is reluctant to go through with the decision. A few moments later, everything is all set up to take off into space. Once everyone is in their stations, the countdown is initiated, and HQ launches. It exits out of orbit, and the structure transforms into the HQ Rocket. Gekko is still unsure about taking off into space, because the team is leaving the whole city unprotected, though the real reason why he’s reluctant is about the uncertainty of what’s out there. Nevertheless, he plots the team’s course. The warning alarm suddenly sounds; spotting the HQ Rocket, Luna Girl quickly realized that the team is on their way to the moon as well and fired energy bubbles at them to throw them off-course. They dodge most of the bubbles but one, which had come in too fast and hits the side of the rocket. They barely manage to make it to the moon and safely land, but much to Gekko’s shock, the damage is bad. Meanwhile, Luna Girl lands nearby and is about to start looking for the moon crystal when its power magnetizes her magnet and pulls her across the moon’s surface. The team watches this from the monitor and prepares to go after her, except for Gekko, who asks if he can stay behind and help PJ Robot repair the ship. While Catboy runs off to suit up, saying that the team will need to be together, not knowing what’s going to happen, Owlette asks Gekko what’s wrong, to which he shares his fears of being away from home and that they might be stuck on the moon, not being able to return. She tries empathizing with him about how she felt when she was on her first sleepover, but to him, it’s nothing compared to being on the moon. To make him feel better, Catboy offers Gekko the option of guarding the ship with PJ Robot as he fixes it while he and Owlette go after Luna Girl, which he accepts. The two suit up in their PJ Spacesuits and launch their PJ Rovers to the moon’s surface. They activate their helmet cameras and communicators so Gekko can keep an eye out for them. Owlette spots Luna Girl with her Owl Eyes, and the team follows her. The power drags Luna Girl into a moon crater where the harvest moon crystal is located. She is about to retrieve it when Catboy and Owlette catch up to her. However, when they use their Super Cat Speed and Owl Wing Wind, respectively, they don’t work as well on the moon compared to their efficiency on Earth. The harvest moon crystal pops out, goes inside Luna Girl’s Luna Magnet to transform it into a Luna Wand, and with it, she creates a Lunar Fortress. Once everything settles down, Catboy and Owlette sneak inside and search around for Luna Girl. Unfortunately, they fail to notice her hiding within the crystals, and she traps them in crystal cages. Worse, while witnessing what’s going on out there, Gekko and PJ Robot lose contact with them. The storyline continues in the next episode. Moral/Lesson
