Synopsis
The PJ Masks are in space, where Newton is teaching them to surf asteroids. When an asteroid passes by, Catboy captures it so the PJs can surf on it. Newton tries to tell them how to treat the asteroid right, but the PJs are having too much fun to listen, much to Newton's annoyance. Then Newton spots a small asteroid that glows with a purple aura. When he touches it, the asteroid zaps him. Newton falls back to Earth and lands in front of the museum, where he is spotted by Luna Girl. When she mocks Newton, he reacts in a surprisingly rude manner. He quickly reverts back to his normal personality. Luna figures out the asteroid somehow brings out the worst in Newton and decides to use this to her advantage. She takes the asteroid and turns Newton against the PJ Masks.
The following day, the PJs find out somebody has trashed the library and stolen the books related to space. They decide to investigate the matter that night. After transforming into their superhero alter-egos, they head back to the library. In the library, Newton, still under the influence of the asteroid, is trashing the place. When the PJs arrive, they are naturally surprised to see Newton is the culprit. Newton verbally lashes out to the PJs about how they never listen to him. Luna further adds fuel to the fire and makes Newton attack the PJs with his powers.
Newton flies off into the city, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake, while the PJs try to keep up with him in the Cat-Car. The PJs try to reason with Newton, but he attacks the PJs once more and tosses the Cat-Car into space. As the PJ Masks run for HQ to follow the Cat-Car, Newton briefly snaps out of his rage. He realizes what Luna Girl is doing to him and tries to run, but she uses the asteroid to turn Newton evil again. He follows the PJ Masks into space and attacks the HQ rocketship. From the park, Luna Girl watches the fight through her telescope. When Owlette notices that the stone on Newton's suit is glowing with purple energy, she realizes something is wrong with Newton.
Newton's attack damages the rocketship, and the engines stop. When the PJs notice an asteroid is about to hit Newton, they leave the rocket, and Owlette saves Newton with her Owl Wing Wind. Unfortunately, the asteroid now hits the PJ Masks, and they are left stranded on it, while Newton falls back to Earth. He lands in the park. The realization that the PJs saved him finally allows Newton to shake off the influence of the purple asteroid. He returns to space, stops the asteroid, and brings the PJs back to their rocketship. HQ returns to Earth. Luna has already fled the scene. Newton promises to help return the books. Along with the PJ Masks, he shouts their victory cry.
