Synopsis
The episode starts with Newton Star battling Night Ninja and the Ninjalinos in the city. Night Ninja mocks Newton’s intelligence, and while Newton tries to think up a plan to stop the ninjas, he gets trapped in a ball of Sticky Splat. The Ninjalinos leap down and roll him towards Night Ninja, who continues to make fun of Newton. It isn't long before the PJ Masks show up, though, and Owlette blows the ninjas away with her Owl Wing Wind. Then Gekko breaks Newton Star out of the splat and Night Ninja leaves, with his Ninjalinos following.
Later, Newton Star flies into his bedroom and lies face down on his pillow. The PJs can tell he's upset because of what Night Ninja said, and Owlette tries to cheer him up by telling him that Night Ninja was wrong about him, but Newton wasn't convinced since he didn't do anything to prove Night Ninja wrong and he needed to be saved. Newton tells the PJ Masks that he shouldn't need help, and they reluctantly leave. Not long after, Newton Star gets the idea to study Sticky Splat.
The next day, Conner, Amaya and Greg walk into the library and talk about what happened last night with Newton Star. They find some splat on the ground and get ready to battle Night Ninja again.
That night, the PJs use the PJ Picture Player to locate Night Ninja, who's trying to lure Newton out by covering the city with Sticky Splat. So the PJ Masks go to stop him.
Meanwhile Newton Star uses a microscope to study the splat and comes up with a plan to beat the ninjas so that Night Ninja will finally respect him. He flies into space and uses his asteroids to create a powerful Star Splat. He takes the splat back to his room and admires it, but then he hears Night Ninja calling him and leaves. Now that the room is left unguarded, Night Ninja breaks in and steals Newton’s notebook.
In another part of the city, the PJ Masks are fighting the Ninjalinos. The ninjas outmatch the heroes, until Newton Star comes and uses his Star Splat against them. Then Night Ninja shows up and starts mocking Newton again. Despite the PJs' warning, Newton Star gets angry and attacks the ninjas with his Star Splat, only for Night Ninja and the Ninjalinos to take it over with their Ninja Fingers. Night Ninja splits the Star Splat into four and then leaves to go take over Mystery Mountain with his new power.
Newton Star and the PJ Masks arrive at the top of the mountain and see Night Ninja imprisoning An Yu in a cage and taking her staff. When Night Ninja and the Ninjalinos notice the other heroes, they attack them with the Star Splat and the PJ Masks get captured as well. Newton comes to the rescue and Night Ninja orders the Ninjalinos to use the Star Splat on him. Much to the Ninjalinos' confusion, Newton encourages them to do it. The Ninjalinos surround him and Newton Star flies into space, with the Star Splats following close behind. Newton calls his asteroids for help but the Star Splats take a hold of him before he can reach them and pull him back towards earth. Then the white stone on his outfit summons the asteroids, they take away the Star Splats power, and free Newton. After thanking the asteroids, Newton returns to Mystery Mountain and uses his Star Power to blast the ninjas away. He frees the other heroes and returns An Yu's staff to her before they shout their victory cheer.
