"Owlette and the Moon-Ball" (also known as "Bibou et le ballon-lune" in French, spelled Owlette and the Moonball in some guides[1]) is the second half of the 4th episode in Season 1 of PJ Masks.

Summary

By day, Connor, Greg, and Amaya play soccer against Cameron's team. Cameron says that Amaya is not good at soccer. When Amaya tries to score a goal, Connor and Greg get mad at her for not passing the ball to them, and for showing off about how good she is at soccer. Amaya gets the soccer ball back when Luna Girl's "Moon-Ball" sucked up the soccer ball. The PJ Masks soon find out that Luna Girl's Moon-Ball sucked up all the toys so she can keep them to herself. Owlette makes the mission harder by showing off about how good she is at soccer, and by getting sucked up in the Moon-Ball, then Catboy and Gekko had a plan to pop the Moon-Ball with the flag pole at the outside of the museum and releasing Owlette and all of the objects Luna Girl stole.

Synopsis

The kids are getting ready to play a soccer game - Cameron's team is playing against Connor, Greg, and Amaya. When the other kids see that she is going to play, they start to laugh, with Cameron saying that she is not good at soccer. This does not bother her, though; with one swoop, she steals the soccer ball from Cameron and dribbles it across the field, avoiding the other players. Once she reaches the soccer goal, the other kids catch up to block her. Fortunately, she stealthily dodges them and prepares herself to score. Connor and Greg run up to the goal, and tell her to pass it to either one of them, knowing that they are a team. Amaya refuses, saying that she has it covered, and kicks the ball. Unfortunately, it goes over the goal and into the trees. Annoyed, Connor and Greg scold her, while Cameron says that what just happened has proved his thought about her playing soccer as the other kids laugh. Amaya angrily disagrees, and with Connor and Greg, she runs off into the forest to get the ball back so she can have another try. In just a few seconds, the three kids find it behind one of the bushes. Amaya goes up to grab it, when suddenly, a huge white ball comes in out of nowhere and sucks it up. Then, it bounces around and takes some other things. The three kids try to catch up with it, but it bounces away. Soon, they see a couple of moths following the ball. Feeling that Luna Girl is responsible for this, the PJ Masks decide to stop her.

At headquarters, Catboy goes up to the PJ Picture Player to decide which vehicle to choose for this mission, when he slips on a furball. As Gekko walks over, helps him up, and then decides with him on which vehicle to take, the furball rolls towards Owlette. Seeing it, she decides to play with it as if it were a soccer ball. She kicks it in place a couple of times, and with another kick, it flies out of the force field, bounces on a couple of objects, and flies back in, bouncing on Catboy and Gekko's heads multiple times before it goes off. Catboy asks what Owlette is doing, to which she responds that she is showing them how good she is at soccer. She catches up to the furball, and with one more kick, it flies back out again, this time bouncing around everywhere, and heads straight for Gekko's Gekko Symbol icon. It hits it, and the force field disappears. Although considering to take either the Owl-Glider to spot Luna Girl or the Cat-Car to sneak up on the villainess, with the icon now pressed, the PJ Masks decide to take the Gekko-mobile into the town.

As the PJ Masks drive around, Catboy tells the others to look out for the ball that is sucking up everything in the town. This could not be better timing, though, because just as he says this, the ball bounces up from behind and gets ready to bounce on them. Gekko quickly moves out of its way, and the ball chases the vehicle around, sucking up more things in its path. In a few moments, with the Gekko-mobile's grip feature, the PJ Masks go on the side of one of the buildings and hide there as the ball bounces away and into the park. Once the ball reaches there, Gekko disables the grip feature on his vehicle and drives off the building and into the park.

No sooner as the PJ Masks exit the Gekko-mobile do they see Luna Girl holding the ball with her Luna Magnet. Luna Girl sees them coming towards her, and she releases the toys from what she calls the ball, her Moon-Ball. With her weapon, she is going to steal all of the daytime toys so she can play with them in the night. In addition, just in case the PJ Masks are planning to stop her (which, of course, they will), not only will the ball suck up the toys; it can also suck up the PJ Masks as well so they would not interfere. With that, she releases the ball from her Luna Magnet, and it begins to fall on top of the PJ Masks. The team gets out of its way, and run off in different directions. Unfortunately for Gekko, it follows him, and he gets cornered. Before he can get sucked up, though, Catboy goes in front of him and kicks it, and surprisingly, he does not get sucked in. Owlette sees the ball coming towards her, and kicks it as well, and the ball squeezes itself between a tree and a pole. Wondering why the team did not get sucked in themselves, they realize that it must be because they hit the Moon-Ball. Suddenly, Owlette realizes that since the Moon-Ball can be hit, it can be used as if it was a giant soccer ball, and it can help her prove to everyone that she is good at soccer.

That being said, as Luna Girl goes over to retrieve her ball, Owlette kicks it away from her, and it bounces off towards Catboy and Gekko. Fortunately, they get out of its way, and Owlette hits the ball again, this time with her head. The ball lands where Catboy is located, and Catboy uses his Super Cat Jump to avoid it, until he ends up landing on it and starts rolling around. Luna Girl catches up, and after avoiding Owlette who tries to stop her, she grabs the Moon-Ball with her Luna Magnet, and plays around with it with Catboy on top. After a few seconds, she takes the ball out from under him and flies to the playground, taking the pile of toys with her. As Catboy falls down, Gekko and Owlette try to catch him, but they end up bumping into each other, and Catboy lands on top of them, creating a pile-up. Owlette is not willing to give up, though, and she flies over to Luna Girl, but not before she says that she is also good at tackling. Catboy tries to tell her that they have to work together as a team, but she does not listen.

As Luna Girl gets ready to suck up the merry-go-round, Owlette kicks the Moon-Ball again. Luna Girl tries to hold onto it with her Luna Magnet, but with it going far away, the ball is released from its beam, and she falls down on the merry-go-round. Angered, she tries to shoot Owlette with her Luna Magnet in revenge, but Owlette dodges the beams, and she spins her around. Nevertheless, Luna Girl continues to shoot her, but she does not have any luck. Meanwhile, Catboy and Gekko arrive at the playground, and once they see Luna Girl still spinning around, Gekko activates his Super Gekko Muscles and slams his foot on the ground to stop the merry-go-round from spinning. Luna Girl flies off and goes around almost every piece of equipment in the playground before she lands next to her Moon-Ball. Now that the chaos has stopped, it is now time for the PJ Masks to destroy the Moon-Ball so the villainess would not steal anything else. However, Owlette tells the boys to wait, because she wants to show them first her soccer moves. She quickly retrieves the Moon-Ball, and kicks it around. The boys are not amused, though, and ask her to pass the ball. She does not listen, however, and kicks it between two lampposts as if they acted like a soccer goal. Unbeknownst to her, the ball bounces off towards her. Catboy and Gekko try to warn her, but it is too late; it hits her, and she is sucked in. With Owlette now in the Moon-Ball, Luna Girl gets on her Luna Board, grabs the ball with her Luna Magnet, and flies off in the town. Once she stops, she quickly moves the Moon-Ball around, and Owlette bounces along with it inside, bumping into a couple of toys in the process.

As Luna Girl continues to bounce Owlette around, Catboy and Gekko quickly run on top of the buildings to catch up with the girls. Once they arrive at the nearest building, Catboy uses his Super Cat Jump to jump up to the Luna Board and shake her around so she can lose her grasp on the Moon-Ball. He succeeds, and he flings Luna Girl away into another part of the town. Meanwhile, Gekko catches the Moon-Ball, and rolls it towards an alleyway where the team cannot be seen. Once Catboy catches up, Owlette apologizes for showing off earlier, and it was all because she wanted to show the boys how good she is at soccer. The boys convince her that they know that she is good at it, and she can be better at it as long as she can pass the ball to either one of them. Owlette agrees, realizing that soccer is all about being a team, and the PJ Masks are a team together. She then proclaims that it's "time to be a hero!", but she ends up bumping her head on a soccer ball. In response, Catboy and Gekko are figuring out how they could get Owlette out of the Moon-Ball. Gekko suggests that they could pop it with a huge and pointy stick. Owlette decides that this would be a good idea, and they can use the flagpole at the museum to pop it. With this piece of information, Owlette tells Gekko to roll the Moon-Ball, while Catboy keeps a lookout in front of it.

While Luna Girl searches for the PJ Masks and her Moon-Ball, the team heads over to the museum. They do not get too far, though; once Gekko accidently rolls the ball into a lamppost, it flickers, and it catches Luna Girl's attention. Knowing where they are now, the villainess flies towards them and grabs the ball with her Luna Magnet. Catboy and Gekko try to push it away from her, but the Luna Magnet's beam is too strong. Owlette suggests that they all work together as a team, and the PJ Masks use their powers to push the Moon-Ball away from Luna Girl. With Catboy's Super Cat Speed, Gekko's Super Gekko Muscles, and Owlette's Owl Wing Wind, the team is able to release the ball from the Luna Magnet's beam, and they continue towards the museum. In frustration, Luna Girl throws her Luna Magnet away. Soon enough, as the team reaches the museum, Gekko grabs the flagpole with his Super Gekko Muscles, and Catboy and Owlette push the Moon-Ball towards it. With one bounce, the Moon-Ball hits the flagpole, and Owlette and all of the other toys are freed, but they all scatter about. Fortunately, Owlette spots the Luna Magnet, which has landed on the fountain, and uses it to gather them all up into a pile. Luna Girl catches up to them, and once she sees her Moon-Ball burst and the team collecting all the toys, she goes into a temper tantrum about what had happened. Gekko calms her down, though, and offers her the kids' soccer ball. Luna Girl does not seem interested in it at first, but once she starts playing with it, she starts to have fun. As she continues to play on, Owlette leaves the Luna Magnet on the fountain while they return all the toys, and the PJ Masks whisper their signature victory phrase.

The next day, Connor, Amaya, Greg, and the other kids are back at the soccer field for another game of soccer. Cameron makes fun of Amaya for playing soccer again, and runs towards her to steal the ball. In response, Amaya kicks it towards Connor, and the three kids run to the goal. After Connor passes the ball to Amaya, he encourages her to shoot. Amaya declines, saying that Greg is closer to the goal than she is, and kicks it to him. Greg retrieves it, and kicks the ball into the goal, but it bounces off and heads towards Cameron. Cameron quickly takes cover, and it bounces off from him. To everyone's surprise, the ball enters the goal. Connor commends Cameron for a great shot, while Amaya comments that he is a great soccer player. She gives him a high-five, and all the kids share a laugh as the episode closes.
