Synopsis

The episode begins with the PJ Masks spying on Romeo, who has just finished inventing what he claims to be his best invention ever. He spots them and drives away with Robot and Robette, who were guarding the lab, leaving some scattered parts behind. The next day, the kids meet at Connor's House to look at the parts they collected. Fearing that his best invention ever could mean his most horrible invention yet, they set out later that night to stop him.

The team returns to the lab and sneaks over to the entrance as sparks are flying out. The door opens, and out comes a mini robot who greets them, then gives each of them a hug. They are surprised to see that Romeo had made something so cute and friendly, yet at the same time, they’re suspicious of why he did so, especially since it looks like the robot is fizzling a bit. Their suspicions prove true when Catboy overhears that Romeo is expecting them to love him and take him to HQ, where he’ll use the Robot Controller to make him do what he says, which is to wreck the place.

Romeo and his robots come out from hiding to pull the mini robot to them with the Robot Controller. Romeo explains that since Robot and Robette have minds of their own, he set the new invention up with the remote so he can control him. His control over him is short-lived, though, because after Romeo touches Robette’s eye to scold her after she shocks him, he drops the remote and runs away with Robot as she goes into defense mode and tries to zap him.

The PJ Masks collect the remote to relinquish its control over the mini robot. They offer him to hang out with them for the time being until he decides to return to Romeo’s possession. Despite Romeo’s objections, the robot is more than happy to do so, and they all drive back to HQ. However, once out of sight, he expresses delight that his plan is working, although Robette, who has calmed down, zaps him again when he touches her.

The PJ Masks welcome the mini robot into HQ, where he helps them out around the place, such as cleaning their vehicles and assisting them with their hero moves practice. He also takes a virtual tour of the town via the PJ Picture Player. He then brings up some of the team’s past missions from the memory files. He is so fascinated by what they are doing, that not only he wants to help out, he wants to become a PJ Mask member himself: PJ Robot.

The alarm suddenly sounds; Romeo and his robots are in the park inventing something big. Gekko stays with PJ Robot to look after him and paints him with the team’s animal symbols and signature colors. Meanwhile, as Robot and Robette work twice as fast to build the invention, the latter malfunctioning afterwards, Catboy and Owlette drive over to see that it is a huge version of the Robot Controller.

The two return to warn Gekko, who tells them that PJ Robot has been using the PJ Picture Player, checking out the vehicles, and exploring HQ. The last thing he mentioned is of major concern, because although they have the other Robot Controller, Romeo has built a new version so he can take control of PJ Robot and destroy HQ as planned, even if he wants to be on the team. The team can try to gain control of PJ Robot using the remote that they have. However, they also agree that if they want to keep him, then they have to destroy the new remote.

In a few moments, the four arrive at the Super Robot Controller. PJ Robot is instructed to stay back while the team takes care of the remote. It activates, but instead of taking control of him, it traps them in a force field which Gekko can’t break. Romeo reveals the invention to be actually a Forcefield Thrower; while he confirms that he expected the team to can’t resist keeping PJ Robot, he actually used him as bait to lure them into the trap.

Now that the team is out of the way, Romeo takes the real Robot Controller that they dropped, and after a brief chase, he places PJ Robot back into his control and heads off to destroy HQ. Gekko is devastated to see him leave, but when he offers his wishes of what his future could have been with the PJ Masks, he turns around and goes towards them. Romeo tries to pull him back, although to everyone’s surprise, he’s resisting his control over him because of his desire to be with the team. Soon enough, with their words of encouragement, PJ Robot claims that it’s time to be a hero, and he finally breaks free of Romeo’s control.

PJ Robot easily evades Robot and Robette, sneaks into the lab entrance, and quickly drives off, toppling and disabling the Forcefield Thrower. He reunites with the now freed PJ Masks, and they all return to HQ. Romeo commands his robots to capture the team, but they refuse, as they don’t want to be controlled as well. He reluctantly asks nicely if they can make their getaway instead, and after he gets shocked by Robette again, they do so as he vows to get the three kids and his mini robot next time.

The PJ Masks welcome PJ Robot on their team with their signature victory phrase.
