Trivia
- Originally, the television series was intended to have several aspects based on its source material, Les Pyjamasques book series.
- Yoyo, Bibou and Gluglu would have appeared as the main characters of the show.
- The animation would have looked more faithful to the picture books' art style and atmosphere.
- The television counterpart of Tarabiscoville would have been similar to its picture book incarnation.
- The show was reconceptualized on becoming a spiritual successor to various superhero franchises created by Marvel Comics after receiving several responses from parents wanting the series to have "superheroes custom-made for preschoolers".
- As of that, the show would incorporate superhero comic-based material based on the content created by Marvel Comics such as:
- Reworking on the primary location of the series to be set in a New York-France hybrid setting, which is where most superhero comic series would take place in.
- The addition of heroes and villains inspired by characters from superhero comics instead of being just folklore-based in a sole aspect.
- The characters would receive superhero comic-based gadgetry such as super vehicles, transformation devices, home bases, futuristic computers and handheld ray guns.
- The animation style is changed to look like it is taking place inside a comic book with cartoony graphics, instead of making the series' animation look more realistic and taking place in real-life (in similarity to the picture book series).
- Despite the producers having no current plans to release the pilot to the public, they allowed selected parents and children to watch the show's pilot during development of the television series.
- According to one screenshot of the pilot, the production code for the episode is 101. It shares the production code with the first official episode, "Blame it on the Train, Owlette."
- The script for the pilot episode was written by Davey Moore.
- Presumably, some assets from the pilot episode such as a building containing graffiti and pipes as small details, and a different city background are recycled in an early prototype build for PJ Masks: Moonlight Heroes in a screenshot: [1].
