Power Lizard is a supporting character from the PJ Masks television series. He is Gekko's Spirit Animal and PJ Rider. He originally resided in the PJ Crystal Totem, but has manifested as a spirit a few times when Gekko activated his powers. His silhouette is also seen in the crystal in the Season 5 episode "Ninja Power Up."
In "Carly and Cartoka," following the destruction of the PJ vehicles by the Speedy Twins, Power Lizard connected to Gekko and Lionel to leave the crystal and assume a physical form for Gekko to ride on. From that moment on, Gekko can summon Power Lizard at any moment by placing his hand on the lizard symbol from his pajamas with the words "By the power of a lizard’s might!" or "By the power of muscles!".
As of "The PJ Riders Save the Day," Power Lizard helped restore Gekko's Gekko-Mobile with a new design and additional feature. He is now used on separate occasions whenever the situation calls for him.
Physical appearance
As a spirit, Power Lizard resembles a lizard. In his physical form, he more closely resembles a huge crocodilian or Komodo dragon. He has green scales with a yellow underbelly and darker green spots along his back.
He wears a green saddle on his back and protective armor with glowing green stripes on his head, body, tail, and hind legs. He also has horns on his head and spikes on the end of his tail.
Personality
Like his fellow PJ Riders/Spirit Animals with Catboy and Owlette, Power Lizard is loyal to Gekko, though also cares about the other PJ Mask members, such as when he and his friends sensed that PJ Robot was in danger.
Much like Lionel, Power Lizard also displays traits more typical of a canine than a reptile, such as wagging his tail when happy and giving Gekko cheek licks.
Powers and abilities
- Strength: Like Gekko, Power Lizard is exceptionally strong. He can shake the earth by merely stomping his feet.
- Lizard Grip: Like Gekko and other reptiles, Power Lizard can scale and climb walls.
- Amphibious: Just like the Gekko-Mobile and some reptiles, Power Lizard is capable of swimming underwater aside from roaming on land.
- Color Changing: Just like Gekko, and other reptiles, he can change colors.
- Mighty Roar: He is capable of unleashing a powerful roar to intimidate or stun opponents.
