"Protector of the Sky" (also known as "Bibou protège le ciel" in French) is the second segment of the 20th Season 3 episode of PJ Masks. SummaryWhen Romeo's Sky Factory creates a pollution cloud over the city, the PJ Masks have a hard time blowing it away![1] CharactersThe following characters appeared in the episode "Protector of the Sky": SynopsisContinuing the events of the previous episode, Connor, Amaya, and Greg meet up at the playground in the school to discuss about Romeo’s Sky Factory. Suddenly, they see one of the gunk clouds from the structure closing in and picking up the slide. That night, more gunk clouds are spotted in the PJ Picture Player, and they are covering up the whole city. The PJ Masks head off to the Owl-Glider, and PJ Robot decides to join as well, but Owlette stops him, considering what happened last time, and says they need him in HQ to be on the lookout. In the Sky Factory, Romeo reveals his plan to take over the world by threatening to cover up the town with his gunk clouds created by his factory unless everyone submits to his orders forever. He spots the PJ Masks arriving, and he orders more gunk clouds to be produced. The team dodges them, but the clouds stick to the Owl-Glider’s wings. They are forced to land, but not before Owlette exits the aircraft to take on Romeo herself. However, the clouds have stuck to her wings as well, disabling her powers. Robot throws her out of the Sky Factory, and she lands where Catboy and Gekko are. Gekko attempts to remove the gunk clouds from Owlette’s wings using his Super Gekko Muscles, but with no success. However, Owlette notices the clear sky. Before she landed, the clear air blew some of the gunk clouds off her cape. If she can reach up there, she can clear her wings and use her powers again, but she does not know how if she can’t use her powers or the Owl-Glider to fly. Catboy suggests thinking up another way to take on the Flying Factory, but Owlette gets an idea and runs inside HQ. A few moments later, Owlette returns outside with the Cat-Car. After Gekko builds a ramp, she drives up into the air and lands on one of the gunk clouds. She gets out of the vehicle and attempts to fly, but more gunk clouds get stuck to her wings. She lands back down, and Gekko suggests using his Super Gekko Muscles to flap the Owl-Glider’s wings, but she comes up with another plan, this time involving the Gekko-Mobile. Using its Swing-and-Fling feature, Gekko launches Owlette up in the air to rid of the gunk clouds on her cape. However, when she lands on one of the clouds, it gets pulled down and takes the Gekko-Mobile with it. Catboy and Gekko run off after their respective vehicles, and Owlette returns inside HQ. Despite PJ Robot’s protests, she turns on its rocket function, still hoping to clear her cape. An alert sounds off, though, as the gunk clouds are preventing the totem from launching. Owlette returns to her Owl-Glider and uses its claws to grasp the clouds and pull them out. She then goes up to the top of the structure and gets ready, but when PJ Robot volunteers to help remove the clouds, the Owl-Glider claws let go, and he gets flung into the sky, getting a piece of the cloud on his back in the process, and sticks to the Sky Factory. Catboy and Gekko return and spot with Owlette PJ Robot in the PJ Picture Player. PJ Robot signals for them to be quiet and pay close attention to the Sky Factory’s vacuum. The team sees the factory sucking up more metal in the town and realizes that if the vacuum can suck up metal, then if they change the controls, it can suck up the gunk clouds as well. That would mean getting into the Sky Factory, though, and Owlette cannot fly. However, she is not going to worry about clearing her wings anymore; this time, she is going to worry about the factory and ask for help. Catboy ties his Super Cat Stripes to a couple of trees. Using it as a slingshot, the team flings themselves up to the Flying Factory. The team lands without being spotted, and as Catboy saves PJ Robot, Owlette and Gekko go inside the factory and enter the control room, just before Romeo can increase the gunk cloud production. The villain has Robot and the Fly Bots seize them, but Gekko takes care of them. This gives Owlette a chance to change the controls, and the vacuum starts sucking up the gunk clouds. Owlette and Gekko then exit the factory to help Catboy and PJ Robot, but Robot grabs Owlette and throws her out. Fortunately for her, since the sky is clearing, the air gets rid of the gunk clouds on her cape, and she regains her flight and powers. She helps PJ Robot out of the Sky Factory, grabs Catboy and Gekko, and the group flies off. Meanwhile, Romeo attempts to shut off the vacuum, but it is jammed with the gunk clouds. Robot grabs Romeo, and the two evacuate the factory using one of the remaining clouds left. The PJ Masks fly back to HQ, and Owlette apologizes to PJ Robot for what happened. PJ Robot forgives her, and he, Catboy, and Gekko commend her on her flying, stating that she is the Protector of the Sky. Owlette feels touched by the comment, and adds on that she could not have done it without her friends. With that, the PJ Masks proclaim their signature victory phrase, and the episode ends.
