  • In "Gekko and the Mayhem at the Museum," he revealed that he likes Double Tofu Pistachio ice cream.
  • In "Speak UP, Gekko!," there was a brief animation error that removed his legs.
  • He is the first villain in the series with one clear motive: to take over the world. Night Ninja's motives vary, but mostly involve proving his "supremacy" and Luna Girl usually just steals things that catch her interest.
  • He calls Catboy "Kitty Litter Boy" more than Luna Girl and Night Ninja, who only called him this once. This could mean that he dislikes Catboy more than the other two villains, or it could simply be a coincidence.
  • Romeo has called the PJ Masks these names:
    • PJ Pests, PJ Monkeys, PJ Stinks, Super Stumblers, PJ Pains, PJ Dodos, Daytime Dodos, PJ Do-Gooders, Non-Speaking Ninnies, PJ Show-offs, Peewee Masks, PJ Pets, PJ Pogosticks, Bozos, PJ Goofs

  • He is based on the original book character, Roméo Mécano.
  • Unlike his book counterpart, Romeo is not portrayed as a student in the daytime, and is likely that he is portrayed to be only self-educated.
    • This can be evident as he is never seen in School in the day, and is seen (offscreen) using his inventions for his latest plan.
  • He is the fifth villain to be at Mystery Mountain.
  • He is the fourth villain to show a kinder side.
  • Most of the inventions Romeo has invented are ray-related inventions. This is the case, as of Season 2 and onwards.
  • The episode showing the strongest portrayal of Romeo trying to look great with compliments from other people was "Speak UP, Gekko!."
  • He has teamed up with the PJ Masks to defeat another villain once. It's unknown if it will happen again.
  • This counterpart of Roméo Mécano is a combination of his original design and inspirations of the Marvel supervillains' designs, Doctor Octopus and Lizard (sans reptilian appearance).
    • Romeo's motive on taking over the world also counts as an inspiration of Lizard's similar plan.
    • His black hair and white streak is a direct reference to the character J. Jonah Jameson, from the Spider-Man comic series.
  • He is the only villain who does not appear in "Halloween Tricksters."
  • Romeo met Cartoka and Eagle Owl in the Flying Factory in "Flashcar in the Sky" while he met Carly, Cat Stripe King, and Power Lizard indirectly since the three of them were on the ground at that time.
  • Romeo is named after the character, Romeo Montague, in Shakespeare’s famous tragedy story, Romeo and Juliet.
  • As of Season 6, he gets a new design from the Psychoactive Asteroid.
  • In "Heroes of Iceworld," Romeo met Bastet indirectly due to the fact she was in the Power Q at that time.
  • The power Romeo gained in Season 6 is similar to the power Harold Humdinger from Paw Patrol gained from the meteor in Mighty Pups.
  • In "Pirate Robot," it is revealed that he only works at night and not in the day.
    • This is further supported by him saying that it took him 365 nights to make his Biggie Chews in the episode "Lionel-Saurus."
    • Despite this implication, there are some episodes where he works in the day such as "Speak UP, Gekko!," "Catboy VS. Robo-Cat," "May the Best Power Win" and "Catboy No More" as his robots and inventions are seen present in the day at the beginning of the episodes.
  • Out of all the other villains, he has the most roles/appearances in the show.
