Synopsis

The episode begins with the class looking for their missing belongings. All of the stolen items are technology-related, which means that Romeo must be behind the theft. Upon arriving at headquarters that night, PJ Robot alerts the PJ Masks that everything is malfunctioning - the PJ Picture Player, the elevators, the super vehicles - because the HQ Crystal is losing power. Since the crystal is the source of their powers, this causes the PJ Masks to start losing their powers as well.

The team runs outside to see Romeo with everyone’s electronics attached to his lab so he can steal their power. Before they could confront him, Romeo diverges their attention away. He makes his escape with most of their power stored in the vehicle, forced to put his plan on halt. He and Robot don’t get too far, however, due to the power overloading the lab. They take cover, and the power is released as blue, red, and green orbs. The two attempt to retrieve them as they float towards the fair, though unsuccessfully.

Robot suggest winning the power orbs instead and having a fun time at the fair. Romeo starts protesting, but soon gets an idea that will involve not just the PJ Masks, but all the other nighttime villains as well. In the city, with barely any powers left, the team searches for Romeo on foot while PJ Robot guards HQ. They hear news from the Wolfy Kids and Night Ninja passing by that there is a fair with glowing lights. They follow them to the location as Luna Girl and her moths also appear.

Romeo explains to everyone about the lab incident and the PJ Masks’ powers in the orbs now locked in the fair games. In order for anyone to retrieve an orb, they must win those games, but no fighting is to be involved. Everyone runs off to different stations once Romeo gives the signal to start. While Luna Girl and Night Ninja struggle to get an orb by throwing coconuts, the Wolfies succeed by tossing a ring through one. A bit of Catboy’s Super Cat Jump is transferred to Kevin, who starts jumping around.

The team views this type of fair as unfair because Romeo stole their powers. Nevertheless, since everyone is after them, they’ll have to follow the rules to gain them back, so they toss one ring each through their respective power orbs. Catboy brings them back to HQ for PJ Robot to place back inside the crystal. This results in some of the team’s powers returning, and they continue with the process.

Meanwhile, Romeo and Robot watch from behind. Now that everyone is focused on winning the power orbs, Romeo performs the next part of his new plan. He first activates the hoops, which chase the Wolfies as they zap them, next the coconuts, which chase Luna Girl and Night Ninja. He then tells Robot to get the power orbs located by the roller coaster. The team boards the ride so they can get them first. As they enjoy themselves, Catboy lassos the orbs in with his Super Cat Stripes, which have now come back. They do become suspicious of everyone’s disappearance and the way how they’re strapped on tightly to the ride.

The roller coaster suddenly speeds up; it passes by the villains being chased by the fair’s equipment. The fair turns out to be a trick: Romeo used everyone’s obsession with getting the PJ Masks’ powers so he can lead them right into his three traps: the sonic hoops, the heat-seeking coconuts, and the Romeocoaster. With everyone out of the way, he will be able to use the power to do whatever he wants.

The Ninjalinos, who are training on Mystery Mountain, can’t stop Romeo since, as Night Ninja confirms, they’re nothing without their leader. As for Armadylan, he arrives at the fair, but when he grabs some balloons floating by, he is lifted up as they are high-powered helium balloons. The team realizes that because they were so focused on getting their powers back, they didn’t pay attention to the whole situation around them. In order to fix this, even though the other villains also tried to steal their powers, if they can help them using what they currently have, they can help them in return.

Owlette fires a set of Owl Feathers through the hoops to disable them. Catboy fires his Cat Stripes to pop the balloons as she fires a large Owl Feather for Armadylan to escape on. He surfs towards Luna Girl and Night Ninja and knocks the coconuts in Romeo and Robot’s direction. Robot flees in terror, while Romeo avoids the equipment, then is surrounded by Armadylan, Luna Girl, and Night Ninja, angry at him for tricking them. Armadylan grabs the remote from him and destroys it.

The roller coaster soon returns to normal speed. The PJ Masks collect the remaining power orbs before the ride finishes. Romeo, who has snuck off while his remote was being destroyed, attempts to grab the remaining power orb the moths spent the whole time staring at until Catboy grabs it. The team thanks Armadylan and the other villains for their help, the latter initially not knowing they did so until the former mentions it. All the power orbs are returned to the HQ Crystal, and everything in HQ and the PJ Masks’ powers are restored. They proclaim their signature victory phrase.

Moral/Lesson

  • Pay attention to what is going on around you. Don't just focus on yourself.

Trivia

  • This is the first time all the (current) villains appear.
  • This is the second time Night Ninja appears without his acolytes, the Ninjalinos.
  • This is the third time the PJ Masks lose their powers.
    • The first was "PJ Power Up," and the second was "Catboy No More" (only with Catboy). Only this time, all the PJ Masks lose their powers.
    • Unlike "PJ Power Up," their magical pajamas didn't revert back to regular pajamas, implying that their powers on transforming into his nightime alter-ego wasn't taken away by Romeo.
  • Armadylan is shown to like balloons.
  • Armadylan, Romeo, and Robot meet the Wolfy Kids for the first time.
  • This is the third time Romeo narrates an episode's title.
  • This is the first and only episode to have Thomas Montels as a storyboard artist.
