Romuald Racioppo is the French author and creator of Les Pyjamasques picture book series.

Romuald was born in 1976 in Paris. Fascinated by the books and cartoons of his childhood, he was soon taken by an insatiable desire to draw and invent stories. He graduated from the Estienne School of Graphic Arts. He then realizes his other "kid's dream" by becoming a firefighter, but can not help but return to drawing. After a few years working in the field of video games, he now devotes himself to his own editorial projects. Between two drawings, he likes above all to run in the forest and to travel.


  • He is also known for being a former firefighter during his military service between the years 1999 and 2000.
  • He also works as a supervisor for the PJ Masks television series, as well as a 2D designer and artist consultant of the series.
  • In September 2000 to January 2004, he worked as a 2D designer for the video game company, Titus Interactive Studio.
    • The games that he worked on were Robocop, Robocop 2, Kingpin 2, Virtual Chess 3, Virtual Kasparov and Safari jo.
  • Prior to the creation of Les Pyjamasques book series and PJ Masks, Romuald worked as an illustrator of children's stories for LITO editions sometime at September 1998 and May 2000.
