The Sablotin (lit: Le Sable-Diablotin) (English: Sand Gremlin) is the son of Marchand de sable who plans on bringing an eternal night by sabotaging an astronomical clock. He is an antagonist and villain of Les Pyjamasques picture book series, and a combination of the Sandman and Gremlin folklore characters. Physical appearanceLike Marchand de sable, Ninjaka and Night Ninja, he wears a navy blue gown and a mask with nighttime-like stars on it. He has purple wings with yellow spots. PersonalityThe Sablotin is shown to be extremely mischief towards Les Pyjamasques. He is also misguided by his father's ways on putting people to sleep, and he will lie in order to get away from being defeated. Motive & abilitiesMotiveLike Apophis' motive, the Sablotin's motive is for an eternal night that will lack light. But even worse, he wants everyone to be put to sleep for eternity so that he can impress his father. He needs to sabotage the astronomical clock that is guarded by Lilifée in order for this to work. AbilitiesThe Sablotin uses metallic projectiles known as "Metal Moons" that will physically hurt the opponent, and produce moon sand at his wings that will make the person's eyes sting and become tired. He will use other weapons (such as the astronomical clock's hands) as a spear. |
