Taïtikis (series)

Taïtikis Book Series Taïtikis is a spiritual successor and spin-off of the Pyjamasques book series by the French author Romuald Racioppo. The series began on June 3, 2021 with the release of Taïtikis - Les gardiens de l'océan, the books are published by Gallimard Jeunesse. Similar to its sister series, this series focuses on superhero culture - except that it focuses more on aquatic themes and on Maori culture. Premise On an island in the middle of the Pacific, Taïcia, Timo, Liz and Samao are about to release the sea turtles they have been caring for for months. As they accompany them offshore, one of them finds herself stuck in a viscous puddle. The small band approaches to rescue him and discovers a mysterious Polynesian statuette, a Pounamu. Not far from there, a strange creature observes them. It soon set off a real storm. The four children are dragged to the bottom. The situation seems hopeless but the statuette begins to shine. The Great Tiki, king of the oceans, appears and transforms the children into aquatic superheroes. They become the Taïtikis, guardians of the ocean. This is the beginning of great fantastic and ecological adventures!
