SynopsisFollowing the previous events of the last segment, Connor, Amaya, and Greg are still amazed how their own city has a magical portal leading to the legendary Mystery Mountain. There is a lot to explore, so they go into the “Mountain Legends” section of the library for more information. However, all the books have disappeared. A couple of pieces of paper are left scattered around, imprinted with Ninjalino footprints, which continue out the window; Night Ninja is planning on returning to the mountain. That night, the surveillance cameras pick up Night Ninja and his Ninjalinos reading the books in the park. Although this is new coming from them, they still have the books, which could mean trouble. The PJ Masks leave HQ in the Cat-Car while PJ Robot looks after the structure. However, before the cat flap closes, a few Ninjalinos sneak in and capture him before he could see what is happening. The PJ Masks arrive at the park to see the ninjas have disappeared. Catboy uses his Cat Ears, and is surprised to hear PJ Robot in the distance and not at HQ like he is supposed to. Owlette sees with her Owl Eyes that the Ninjalinos have captured him and are taking him to Mystery Mountain. The PJ Masks quickly drive over to the location to save him, but the portal closes before they could enter. Gekko opens it again when Catboy does it incorrectly, and the team goes through. The PJ Masks confront Night Ninja about PJ Robot; he explains that he trapped him somewhere in the mountain. He’ll return him to them, but, much to their annoyance, they will have to get the Ring of Ninjability, which gives the bearer three times the power, and is locked in the pagoda. Since the place is filled with booby traps, and the Ninjalinos are exhausted from going through, the team has to go through instead. Once they reach the entrance, they must open the door by solving the riddle: “one by one, the heroes come, but who finds the ring, not a single one.” PJ Robot is behind bars in the depths of the mountain. He panics after being shushed when he plays harmonica music, but when he crashes into a wall, he hears echoing throughout the cave. This prompts him to think of a plan. Meanwhile, the PJ Masks travel up the mountain with the ninjas. Since they can’t risk losing PJ Robot, they have no choice but to retrieve the ring, especially when there are Ninjalinos around the place. They would move him somewhere else if they attempted to find him. Once at the top of the mountain, the PJ Masks enter the gates to the pagoda. Gekko starts walking along the path, but he is thrown off the mountain when he steps on a booby trap. Catboy is able to pull him down safely, though. Owlette grabs the boys and flies to the pagoda, thinking the traps won’t be a hassle if they are in the air. However, the dragon statues sense them and shoot out dragon tongue splat. One hits them, and they roll back to the gate. Soon, each time the team activates another booby trap, they either almost fall in or are sent back to the gates. They do not give up, however. Catboy quickly jumps off each tile as they are activated. He dodges the sticky vines that have come out at this point, but Owlette and Gekko are caught. Catboy pulls Gekko out and jumps to the doors of the pagoda. He throws him to Owlette before she is dropped from the mountain, and he frees her. Everything settles down as the heroes regroup. The team now has to figure out how to open the pagoda doors. Solving the riddle Night Ninja mentioned earlier, they decide to use their powers together to open them. They stand in front of the doors and repeatedly chant “save PJ Robot” in a steady but increasing tempo. They activate their powers, and the doors open up to reveal the Ring of Ninjability. Now in their possession, the PJ Masks exit the gates and inform Night Ninja, demanding him to give back PJ Robot. Unfortunately, it turns out to be a trick. While Night Ninja takes the ring from the team, the Ninjalinos trap them in sticky splat boulders and lock them inside the gates. They become upset that they risked everything for nothing. Suddenly, much to their relief, PJ Robot pops out from the pathway; he has dug his way out by following his friends’ voices after confirming the echoes behind the walls of the cave. Everyone hugs him as he frees them, realizing that it was actually worth going through all of this trouble. In addition, because the team combined their powers together, there is no limit to what they could do. The PJ Masks gain new confidence and open the gates to confront the ninjas. The Ninjalinos are gathered around Night Ninja, who has placed the ring on his finger. He doesn’t feel anything, so he tries getting the ring to work, but nothing happens. The team knows why, though; the ring actually symbolizes the power multiplied by three already obtained when all powers are used together, just like what they did earlier. With this realization in mind, the heroes take down the ninjas together. Night Ninja prepares to fight PJ Robot when he tries to escape, only for him to get startled when he takes out a few weapons. He trips on one of the books, and the ring falls off his finger, falling into the hole PJ Robot escaped from before the gates close. Night Ninja demands the Ninjalinos to get the ring for him. They only respond by running away, prompting him to chase them, promising that he can make it work. Now that the ninjas are defeated, the kids realize that they actually have four times the power since they now have PJ Robot on their team. They can now return the books to the library, which they can then properly check them out tomorrow so they can read about their future adventures on Mystery Mountain. Moral/Lesson
