"The Voyage of the Golden Asteroid" (also known as "Les Pyjamasques et l'astéroïd Doré" in French) is the second segment of the 13th Season 5 episode of PJ Masks. SummaryNewton is desperate to study a rare asteroid, but Pirate Robot has seen it too and he is planning a hijack![2] CharactersThe following characters appeared in the episode "The Voyage of the Golden Asteroid":
SynopsisThe episode starts at school, which has just finished. As Amaya, Greg and Connor discuss their plans for tonight, Newton runs past them and appears to be in panic. The 3 friends, fearing that something is wrong, follow him to the library. It turns out Newton is hoping to study a rare, golden asteroid that passes the solar system once every 1,000 years, but he fears that he is too late and missed it already. Amaya offers Newton to track the asteroid that night at HQ. So the four heroes gather that night in HQ. With the PJ Picture Player, PJ Robot finds the asteroid, and Newton flies off into space to study it. Unfortunately, as Newton leaves HQ, Pirate Robot overhears him talk to the PJs about the golden asteroid, and decides it's a treasure worth of stealing. So with the Spanner of the Skies, he also heads into space to beat Newton to the asteroid. In HQ, the PJs see that Pirate Robot is following Newton. They try to warn him through the Listening Stone, but the golden asteroid interferes with the signal, and the message is lost. The PJs thus launch HQ in rocket ship mode to help Newton themselves. Newton reaches the asteroid first, but then the Spanner of the Skies knocks him aside. Pirate Robot boards the asteroid. An angry Newton confronts him, and when he fails to convince Pirate Robot that the asteroid should be studied, the two get into a fight. Pirate Robot pelts Newton with cupcakes, and easily dodges all of Newton's energy attacks. Then one of Newton's rays hits the asteroid itself, and sends it hurtling towards an asteroid field. On board of their rocket ship, the PJs realize the danger, and Owlette volunteers to head outside to warn Newton. Owlette flies to the golden asteroid, where Newton and Pirate Robot are still arguing, oblivious of the danger they're in. Owlette points out what they've done, but neither Newton nor Pirate Robot is willing to work with the other to save the golden asteroid. An asteroid collides with the golden asteroid and knocks Owlette and Newton into space. Catboy uses his Super Cat Stripes to save Owlette and pull her back to the rocket. Unfortuantely, by now the rocket has also gotten too close to the asteroid field. The PJs barely manage to steer the rocket to safety, though they take a few hits along the way. The golden asteroid meanwhile has changed course again, and is now heading straight for Earth. Owlette suggests they use the rocket's owl claws to steer the golden asteroid to safety, but due to the damage caused by the asteroid field, the claws malfunction. Newton also sees the golden asteroid is heading for Earth, and realizes he made things worse while fighting Pirate Robot. He flies back to the golden asteroid, alerts Pirate Robot to the danger, and convinces him to work together to save both Earth and the golden asteroid. He charges up one of Pirate Robot's spatula hands with his Star Power, after which they both try to steer the golden asteroid away from Earth. They're not strong enough, however, but the PJs also join in with their rocket. They fire a few furballs at the asteroid to alter its course. It is still not enough, so Pirate Robot orders Sally to ram the asteroid with the Spanner of the Skies. That finally does the trick, and the Golden Asteroid is put back in its original path, and it drifts away from Earth for another 1,000 years. Newton, the PJs, and Pirate Robot and his crew return to Earth. Although they saved the Earth, Newton is still disappointed he never got to study the golden asteroid. Fortunately, Owlette reveals she still has a tiny fragment of the of it. When studying the fragment, Newton quickly realizes that the asteroid is not truly made of gold, but rather pyrite, AKA "fool's gold". Pirate Robot still thinks it is treasure, takes the fragment, and leaves in his ship. The PJs decide to explain to him some other time that it's not truly gold, and with Newton, they shout their victory cry. Moral/Lesson
