Synopsis

The episode begins with the kids decorating the carnival floats for the carnival parade tomorrow. Greg is working on the Laughing Lizard float, which he believes will be the best out of all the floats; Connor and Amaya remind him that what really matters is how all they look together instead of just one looking the best. Cameron suddenly points out that the Candy Train float is gone. PJ Robot has no luck finding where it went or who stole it, so the PJ Masks take the Owl-Glider and spot Night Ninja and his Ninjalinos inside.

The aircraft’s claws are lowered to retrieve the float, but the ninjas get away. Noticing that they’re heading towards the other floats, Owlette uses the Owl-Glider Turbo so the team can quickly get to the location before the villains do. Gekko is ready to protect the Laughing Lizard, though is reminded that all the floats need to be protected. To do so, he uses his Super Strength to place them together in a circle.

The PJ Masks take position as the ninjas arrive and deflect the incoming sticky splat projectiles with their powers. A couple of Ninjalinos climb out of the Candy Train to get the other floats. Fearing that they’re getting the Laughing Lizard next, Gekko moves it away from them and shakes them off when they get on; this causes Catboy and Owlette to get sticky-splatted. They call him for help, but because of his concern over the float, the ninjas also leave with the Pirate Ship float.

Gekko removes the sticky splats from his teammates and apologizes about what happened. He claims that his passion towards the Laughing Lizard must be a lizard thing and promises not to let it get in the way of protecting all the carnival floats. Since the Owl-Glider is out of commission, the team can take the floats to catch up with the ninjas while looking after them at the same time. They stare at Gekko when he gets in the Laughing Lizard and claims that it’s the closest to him, but push this off and call on PJ Robot to help.

The whole PJ Masks team drives the remaining floats towards the forest where Night Ninja and his Ninjalinos are going. It’s revealed that they are working with Romeo, who is using his new invention, the Controlling Devices, on the vehicles to transform them into evil Robot Floats. He plans to take over the world by mind-controlling them to patrol the streets and scare everyone. While he does that, Night Ninja will use the Pirate Ship as the Jolly Ninja and spread chaos as both a ninja and a pirate everywhere.

After placing the Controlling Devices on the Candy Train and Pirate Ship, the villains chase the PJ Masks who drive the floats away before they could place the rest of the devices on them. The heroes are able to briefly get away when the villains are forced to stop at a traffic light. The team parks the floats around in a circle in another part of the town. They defend them when the villains arrive like last time, but much to Gekko’s shock, a Ninjalino is able to place a Controlling Device on the Laughing Lizard.

Tempted by the villains to save the vehicle, Gekko jumps on and tries to remove the invention. Expecting this to happen, the ninjas sticky-splat Catboy to the Card Float and send Owlette and PJ Robot crashing into another traffic light after they avoid the projectiles with the Pirate Ship’s horn’s sonic wave. After Gekko is eventually thrown off the Laughing Lizard, a Ninjalino places a sticky splat on its tongue, which Romeo uses to capture Gekko before he can escape. With the Controlling Devices now on all the floats, the villains drive over to the town square.

As they hope to capture Owlette soon, a quarrel initiates between Romeo and Night Ninja after the latter mocks the former about taking over the world, who then complains that he shouldn’t have asked for his help. Owlette flies down from the museum’s rooftop to save Catboy and Gekko. Gekko apologizes about messing up the mission because of his primary concern for the Laughing Lizard. Now knowing what’s important, he shifts his focus to protecting all the floats and helping his friends.

With Gekko’s instructions, Owlette fires her Super Owl Feathers to break the antenna on Romeo’s goggles to prevent him from controlling the floats. She also hits the lever to retract the Laughing Lizard’s tongue to free Gekko, who then frees Catboy instead of saving the vehicle. Owlette blows the Ninjalinos away while Gekko prevents Romeo and Night Ninja from stopping the team. Catboy removes all of the Controlling Devices from the floats and gives them to Gekko to destroy them.

The villains attempt to escape with the Pirate Ship float for the intention of either transforming it into a robot to take over the world or making it into a pirate ship. Thanks to PJ Robot controlling the traffic lights, though, they stop long enough for the PJ Masks to catch up and shake them off. They are defeated, and the signature victory phrase is announced. The next day, Connor, Amaya, and Greg are riding the Candy Train during the carnival parade. Even though Greg is not riding the Laughing Lizard, he is glad that everyone can enjoy its decorations as well.
